Cleanliness and order in the backyard [Esp-Eng]

En nuestra casa negociamos algunas de las tareas del hogar, hay cosas que mi esposo detesta hacer y que yo sé que voy a hacerlas siempre, y otras que a mi no me gustan demasiado y el las hace sin problema. Pero hay algo que ninguno de los dos tolera hacer y no hay forma de negociarlo y es limpiar el patio, más específicamente cortar el monte o la mala hierba.

Por alguna razón que desconocemos el patio en cuestión de una semana ya tiene el monte enorme, hemos intentado cosas como irlo cortando apenas sale, o tomarnos un día al mes para cortarlo todo, pero como a ninguno de los dos nos gusta, entonces todos esos planes pasan al olvido y cuando me doy cuenta ya el monte está muy crecido y no puedo sentarme afuera porque no me agrada como se ve.

In our house we negotiate some of the household chores, there are things that my husband hates to do and I know I will always do them, and others that I don't like too much and he does them without a problem. But there is one thing that neither of us can tolerate doing and there is no way to negotiate it and that is cleaning up the yard, more specifically mowing the brush or weeds.

We have tried things like cutting it as soon as it comes out, or taking one day a month to cut it all, but since neither of us likes it, then all those plans are forgotten and when I realize it, the bush is already overgrown and I can't sit outside because I don't like the way it looks.

Hace unos días conseguimos una solución a ese problema, como ninguno de los dos nos gusta cortar el monte entonces lo ideal sería que mientras menos tiempo tardaremos haciéndolo mucho mejor. Así que planeamos hacerlo los dos juntos y así terminar mucho más rápido de limpiar. La razón por la que no nos gusta es porque hay algunas plantas alrededor y hay que cortarlo con muchísimo cuidado, tenemos cilantro de monte y ya saben que este se pega por todas partes, entonces la opción para no arrancarlo es cortar el monte en esas partes con las manos.

El patio es pequeño así que nunca tardamos más de un día limpiandolo, pero lo posponemos tanto y tanto que el trabajo se hace más pesado y fastidioso. Decidimos que mi esposo se encargaría de la parte en la que podía haber algún tipo de animal y yo tuve que arrancar con mis manos todo el monte que estaba alrededor de los cilantros y las demás plantas. Me pareció justo, le tengo muchísimo miedo a los sapos.

A few days ago we came up with a solution to that problem, as neither of us like to cut the bush then ideally the less time it takes to do it the better. So we plan to do it both together and get it done much faster. The reason we don't like it is because there are some plants around and you have to cut it very carefully, we have cilantro and you know it sticks everywhere, so the option to not pull it out is to cut the bush in those parts with your hands.

The patio is small so we never take more than a day to clean it, but we put it off so long and so much that the work becomes tiresome and tiresome. We decided that my husband would take care of the part where there might be some kind of animal and I had to pull out with my hands all the brush that was around the cilantros and the other plants. Fair enough, I am scared to death of toads.

Honestamente el monte no estaba tan alto como otras veces que hemos dejado que crezca demasiado, aún así el trabajo lo hicimos poco a poco, de hecho tomamos algunos recesos para almorzar y demás, así que terminamos por la tarde algo cansados, llenos de tierra y con picor por algunas matitas que había por ahí, pero satisfechos por nuestro duro trabajo. De hecho nos quedamos un rato sentados ahí admirando cuánto cambia un sitio solo con estar limpio, además orgullosos porque fue un buen momento para cortar el monte ya que en esta fechas no hay lluvias por aquí, así que va a tardar un poco más en crecer.

Además gracias a que cortamos lo cortamos nos dimos cuenta de que uno de los tubos de agua de la casa se había desenterrado y además de que nos tropezamos con el un montón de veces, el sol puede chamuscar el plástico hasta romperse y ese sería un gran problema, pero ese será algo para solucionar estos próximos días. Por mi parte me siento súper feliz con el patio limpio, me transmite paz y puedo sentarme afuera en las tarde o en los momentos de estrés para recibir brisa fresca y ver las aves acercarse.

Honestly the bush was not as high as other times we have let it grow too much, even so we did the work little by little, in fact we took some breaks for lunch and so on, so we ended up in the afternoon a bit tired, full of dirt and itching for some of the little matites that were around, but satisfied for our hard work. In fact we sat there for a while admiring how much a place changes just by being clean, also proud because it was a good time to cut the bush since there is no rain around here at this time of the year, so it will take a little longer to grow.

Also thanks to cutting it we realized that one of the water pipes of the house had been unearthed and besides that we tripped over it a lot of times, the sun can scorch the plastic until it breaks and that would be a big problem, but that will be something to solve in the next few days. I for one am super happy with the clean yard, it gives me peace and I can sit outside in the evenings or in stressful moments to get a cool breeze and watch the birds approaching.
