Cleaning the speaker that had water spilled on it (Eng/Esp)

This time, I don’t bring any new ideas, but I want to share how I cleaned my sound speaker. My one-year-old baby spilled a glass of water on it, and we didn’t notice right away. We usually don’t keep the speaker plugged in because the damage could have been worse or might have caused a short circuit. Fortunately, it was just the water. So, I had to open it up and start drying all the components and internal wiring. Although it wasn’t very wet, I made sure everything was dry to avoid accidents.

En esta oportunidad no traigo ninguna idea nueva, pero quiero compartir cómo limpié mi corneta de sonido. Mi bebé de un año le vació un vaso de agua, y no nos percatamos de ello de inmediato. Por lo general, no mantenemos la corneta enchufada, porque el daño habría sido peor o, incluso, podría haber causado un cortocircuito. Afortunadamente, solo fue el agua del vaso. Entonces me tocó destaparla y empezar a secar todos sus componentes y el cableado interno, que, aunque no estaba muy mojado, preferí secarlo bien para evitar accidentes.

I carefully dried each cable, making sure they were completely dry, and then put everything back in place. Finally, it was time to turn it on and see if it worked 100%. Luckily, it was perfect. I told my wife that we should always ensure it’s unplugged, especially because of our baby, as children are very curious, and we need to take precautions to avoid accidents. We noticed this issue because the speaker was sitting in a puddle of water. If it had been less water, we might not have realized it.

Fui tomando cada uno de los cables, asegurándome de que estuvieran bien secos, y luego los coloqué en su lugar. Finalmente, llegó el momento de encenderla para comprobar si funcionaba al 100%, y así fue: estaba perfecta. Le comenté a mi esposa que siempre nos aseguráramos de mantenerla desconectada, especialmente por la bebé, ya que los niños son muy inquietos y hay que tomar precauciones para evitar accidentes. Todo esto lo notamos porque la corneta estaba sobre un charco de agua. Si hubiera sido menos cantidad, quizás ni nos habríamos dado cuenta.
