Today, people can fulfill the daily mandate to focus their attention and affection on spiritual things thanks to their identification with Christ, by dying to the past, and by the power they receive in the present because of the resurrection of Jesus. In this way, the act of including God in our life is prioritized and especially in the most important things in life when we need to make decisions for our future.
Colossians 3: 2
2 Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth.

After this verse there is a whole teaching that shows us a route in the renewal of our mind, our spirit and therefore in our present living.
Infinities of people live their lives centered on the things of the world in the currents of this time where they try to please men and subject themselves to the various situations and opportunities that life offers them....
A person who sets his gaze on God is not influenced by the things of life, that is to say, by human ideas because he has renewed his mind and the things that previously influenced his path disappear because they become friends of God through the prayer and reading
Currently, infinities of people give great importance to the things that life offers them and that satisfy the pleasures that the flesh certainly seeks to live and it is not that we cannot look for things that offer us better living conditions but that we must first look for the things of above and the rest will come in addition because the most important thing for us is to look at what we think and what we do. Jesus said, "Where your treasure is, there your heart will be also" (Matthew 6:21).
This means that if we have renewed our minds, our hearts will also be renewed, and ready to set our sights and live for God.
