One of the new things God does for His people is to spiritually change their garment. Garments have a physical, spiritual and symbolic significance and
we see this throughout the scripture. In Exodus 28:2, the Bible says that God designed garments for Aaron and his
sons for beauty and glory. In Isaiah 52:1, the Bible says, Awake, awake, put on thy strength, O zion; put on thy beautifulgarments O Jerusalem, the Holy City..
The first garment man ever wore (in the garden of Eden) was a spiritual garment called the glory of God, and
the final garment he will wear will also be a spiritual garment given at rapture. Let us consider some scriptural truths about spiritual garments.
God is revealed in scripture as beingclothed with light or glory. Bless the Lord, O my soul. O Lord my God, thou art very great; thou art clothed with honour and majesty. Who coverest thyself with light as with a garment... (Psalms 104:1-2).
Man was first clothed by God himself. Unto Adam also and to his wife did the Lord God make coats of skins, and
clothed them (Genesis 3:21).The fall of man into sin and rebelion led to the loss of his garment of glory. For all have sinned, and come short of theglory of God. (Romans 3:23).
Child of God, repentance from sin and soul salvation arings a spiritual restoration and change of garment. The followingare some benetits of anew spiritual garmentA covering of righteousness and purity. But the father said to his servantS, Bring forth the best robe, and put it on him... (Luke 15:22).
The blessing of a new identity.
The mantle of preservation and protection. Put on the whole armour of God thatye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil (Ephesians 6:11).
Equipment for destiny activity.
Promotion to higher authority. And Pharaoh took off his ring from his hand, and put it upon Joseph's hand, and
arrayed him in vestures offine linen.. ( Genesis 41:42).
Receive anew garmentnow in Jesus' name.
