No matter how much class studies you take on learning how to swim or how to drive a car, it will never make you an expert in these activities without practical experiences many times over in a pool or a vehicle, so it is with maturing in life. Who do you believe will be most qualified to come forth and counsel a woman who lost her son or high career flier who lost his job suddenly or a differently abled person trying to make a living?
I think it's someone who passed through their experiences. Moses days in pharaoh's palace made him the best man for the job of delivering Israel from Egypt. David's experiences in the keeping of his father's sheep prepared him for kingship. Your trials will position you to accomplish God's task for you in the days to come. Be strong and joyful through your troubles, it will soon be over.
Remember, you are where you are for a reason and it's for a season.
2 Corinthians 1:3-7
[3] What a wonderful God we have—he is the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the source of every mercy, and the one who so wonderfully comforts and strengthens us in our hardships and trials. And why does he do this? So that when others are troubled, needing our sympathy and encouragement, we can pass on to them this same help and comfort God has given us.
[5]You can be sure that the more we undergo sufferings for Christ, the more he will shower us with his comfort and encouragement.
[6] We are in deep trouble for bringing you God’s comfort and salvation. But in our trouble God has comforted us—and this, too, to help you: to show you from our personal experience how God will tenderly comfort you when you undergo these same sufferings. He will give you the strength to endure.
Lord, I believe every trouble has an expiry date, lessons to learn and blessings to activate, give me grace to hold on until my testimony comes.
James 1:2-4
[2]Dear brothers, is your life full of difficulties and temptations? Then be happy, [3]for when the way is rough, your patience has a chance to grow.
[4]So let it grow, and don’t try to squirm out of your problems. For when your patience is finally in full bloom, then you will be ready for anything, strong in character, full and complete.
