A mediator is a fellow who stands in between two or more opposing parties to reconcile their differences. Believers in christ are caled to a life of intercession. This calls for sacrifice which may comprise of fasting, prayer, descipline etc. Ezekiel was instructed to lie on His left and right sides before God would blot out the sin of his people.

He would lie on his left side for 390 days to atone for the sins of isreal and another 40 days before the sins of judah would be blotted out. God expects us to mediate and intercede for the transgressions of brethren instead of mocking and telling tales about their backsliding.
"Lie thou also upon thy left side" The left side pf any one is the position of his heart, because that is the residence of your heart beat. So the Lord desires that we engage our heart and attach utmost seriousness to issues that involve our nations, the world, church, home and society at large.
Intercede for your country, pray against religious crisis, inflation, unemployment etc. Pray for the body of Christ tonkeep thriving amidst serious opposition to it. Address these issues seriously in your prayer.
