YOU HAVE TO HAVE FAITH

There are some today who approach God with all manner of conditions which they expect God to meet; if they must stay loyal to God. They pose as if they are doing God a big favor serving Him. Your service to God does not make God bigger than Who He already is. God is the same yesterday, today and forever. He is the Lord, He changeth not. Serving God is not a favor you render to God; it is for your own good, because that is why you are and were created.

The Bible says – “Ye shall serve the Lord thy God and He shall bless you” Exodus 23:25. God doesn’t get blessed when you serve Him; you are the one who gets blessed. He is the Self Existent One and the All sufficient God: He doesn’t need us but we desperately need Him. Setting conditions for the Almighty God to meet in order to gain the thrust of your faith is totally baseless. It is a privilege serving Him.

In the light of our scripture text; they that come to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him. Many come with all manner of presumptuous expectations, proclaiming – “If God be God so and so must happen”. What if it doesn’t happen the way you have proclaimed or the way you presumptuously expect; does it mean that God is no longer God? God cannot cease to be God! He has been our dwelling place in all generations, before the mountains were brought forth, even from everlasting to everlasting, He is God.

God is already God, He doesn’t need your confirmation. He is not bound by His Word. He does all things after the counsel of His own will and His will is His Word. There is nothing about what you are going through now will not make God not to be God. He is God forever! The man Job proclaimed – “Though He slay me, yet will I trust in Him” Job 13:15. That is the spirit of true faith in God and scriptures affirm; that, the latter end of Job was more blessed than his beginning. You don’t go under when you choose to serve God this way.

Unconditional love calls for unconditional faith. God loves us unconditionally and our faith in Him should be unconditional. Scriptures affirm; that, “while we were yet without strength in due time Christ died for the ungodly” Romans 5:6. In the words of the songwriter – “Love so amazing, so divine; demands my soul, my life and my all”.
