Romans 13:14 But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof.
The grace of the Lord is sufficient for all. In the world, we put on different attires to signify different things, either occasions, personalities or professions.
It's important to understand that people immediately identify who we are when we show up, all because of our outfit. In fact, no matter how decent a Prince or princess is at heart, he or she will be spoken to as a harlot if they dress like one.
On this note, the Almighty God instructs us on who to wear: the Lord Jesus Christ.
To wear Christ, we must, as a matter of urgency, be committed to love what He loves and hate what He hates. We must become the express image of Christ as His ambassadors on earth.
This is not a rosy journey, for the flesh will fight. But if we refuse to feed or make provision for the flesh, it will be defeated.
Stop doing what you feel like doing, rather do what Jesus says. Let your heart belong to Him alone, for the Master shall never fail.
Let's pray together.
Dear Lord, thank you for the liberty you have given to us in Christ Jesus. Please help us to live as the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus, deliver us from every entanglements with the flesh, in Jesus name. Amen.
