Yesterday, when I was reviewing my blog on Facebook, I came across the expression: "No plague can harm you." Who wrote the expression made reference to the "Coronavirus" and declared that no Christian can be hurt by this plague, since we are children of God.
The truth of it all is that a young man responded to the person who had written this expression, saying, "They remember God when trouble arises and take refuge in promises without examining whether they really live as God commands Christians to live."
The answer of this young man left me very thoughtful and thoughtful, because behind his words there is a great truth.
Do we seek God when problems arise? Do we want to appropriate God's promises without reviewing how we are leading the Christian life?
It is wise to respond with the same wisdom as God. In Psalm 91: 5-7, reference is made to God's protection for his fully living children:
5 You will not fear night terror, nor the arrow that flies by day, nor the plague that walks in the dark, nor the death that destroys in the middle of the day. 7 A thousand will fall at your side, and ten thousand at your right hand. Psalms 91: 5-7 King James Version (KJV1960).
The reality that this psalm reveals is that God provides protection against all kinds of plague that wants to touch the lives of his children. It is a total, complete and absolute protection. However, when we really evaluate who these promises are for, we find that Psalm 15 tells us:
15 Jehovah, who will dwell in your tabernacle? Who will dwell on your holy mountain? 2 He who walks in integrity and does justice, and speaks the truth in his heart. 3 He who does not slander with his tongue, nor does evil to his neighbor, nor admits any reproach against his neighbor. 4 He in whose eyes the vile is despised, but honors those who fear Jehovah. The one who, even swearing in his damage, does not change because of that; 5 Whoever gave his money at usury did not admit a bribe against the innocent. The person who does this will never slip. Psalms 15 King James Version (RVR1960).
The psalm gives us a set of requirements in order to become children of God and enter the sanctuary of the Lord. The highlight is that the children of God must walk in integrity. When we are upright before God, we can affirm that no plague can harm the children of God, because God is faithful to fulfill his promises.
Therefore, no Christian should take the word of God and truly declare it, if he does not lead a life consecrated to God, because he can become an obstacle for people who have not reached the feet of Christ and are fighting against him "Cronavirus". .
The time we live requires serious and God-dedicated Christians, who take advantage of this critical moment to build confidence in people suffering from panic due to the "Coronavirus".
If someone wants to use the media to convey a message from God, they can certainly do so, but verify that their testimony is firm and can convince others of their faith.
Blessings for all!
God has beautiful promises for his children who truly live a life of obedience to his word and obviously God must be sought every day in spirit and in truth to see his glory, although God is always merciful with his creation.
