Las noches del 31 al igual que las el 24 de diciembre son para compartir en familia y con amigos en realidad hay amistades que se vuelven familia y esto es un ejemplo de ellos, ya que llevamos más de 4 años compartiendo el fin de año juntos, nuestros hijos son casi contemporáneos y ellos siempre logran compartir, además de que las diferentes salidas que hemos tenido en el resto del Año siempre nos unen.

Esta noche del 31 de diciembre nos reunimos temprano a las 8 de la noche para celebrar que se acaba un año y comienza otro, y que estamos vivos y podemos disfrutarlo, es una página en blanco que podemos escribir con las mejores historias y lo que nos guste hacer, claro que también este día se hace una cena navideña en este caso cada quien lleva sus hallacas algunos ponen el pan de jamón, otros hacen ensalada y también el pernil, este día cenamos a las 10:30 de la noche y fue una cena bastante amena donde pudimos compartir historias y momentos de nuestra vida de este año que estaba culminando.

Teniamos que dejar un huequito en el estómago, Ya que en esta casa se acostumbra que al faltar 2 minutos para las 12 Comencemos a comer ensalada Comencemos a comer las uvas y por supuesto las 12 en punto nos Comeremos las lentejas que son para traer riquezas según ellos y sus costumbres.

La uvas del tiempo Como algunos le llaman es para pedir un deseo por cada uva y son 12 uvas las que nos tenemos que comer, Así que cuando faltaban las 5 minutos para las 12 comenzamos a poner la radio para escuchar cuándo dieran las 12 en punto, Estos son tradiciones que nos han inculcado desde pequeños, mi amigo tiene esta, otros tienen la de subirse a una silla en fin son muchas después de comer todo esto y que sonaban las campanadas comenzamos a decir feliz año abrazarnos a desearnos todo lo mejor para este 2026 que acaba de comenzar.

En medio de estos abrazos y darnos el Feliz año muchos también acostumbran de una vez darme el Feliz cumpleaños ya que al ser el primero de enero es la fecha de mi cumpleaños siempre me sorprenden con una rica torta para cantar cumpleaños allí mismo esta vez ya la estaba esperando sin embargo se tardaron un poco en subirla y piense que se les había olvidado comprar una torta Así que todos me cantaron cumpleaños comimos torta a esa hora de la noche para completar la cena y así comenzó mi día de cumpleaños.

Cantamos cumpleaños y luego seguimos conversando como hasta las 2 de la mañana agradezco a Dios por este día y este nuevo año, llega mi cumpleaños y es un motivo de celebración, bueno yo siempre bromeo diciéndole a mi familia que soy tan importante que el primero de enero se celebra a nivel mundial, pero lo importante es la vida y la salud y por eso doy gracias.

The nights of the 31st and the 24th of December are for sharing with family and friends. In fact, some friends become family, and this is an example of that, as we have been spending New Year's Eve together for more than four years. Our children are almost the same age and they always get along well, and the various outings we have had during the rest of the year always bring us closer together.

On the night of 31 December, we meet early at 8 p.m. to celebrate the end of one year and the beginning of another, and that we are alive and can enjoy it. It is a blank page that we can write with the best stories and whatever we like to do. Of course, on this day we also have a Christmas dinner. In this case, everyone brings their hallacas, some bring ham bread, others make salad and also pork leg. On this day, we had dinner at 10:30 p.m., and it was a very enjoyable dinner where we could share stories and moments from our lives this year that was coming to an end.

We had to leave a little room in our stomachs, because in this house it is customary that two minutes before midnight we start eating salad, then we start eating grapes, and of course at midnight we eat lentils, which are supposed to bring wealth according to their customs.

The grapes of time, as some call them, are for making a wish for each grape, and there are 12 grapes that we have to eat. So, when there were five minutes to midnight, we turned on the radio to hear when it would strike 12 o'clock. These are traditions that have been instilled in us since childhood. My friend has this one, others have the one where they climb on a chair. Anyway, there are many. After eating all this and hearing the bells ring, we began to say Happy New Year, hugging each other and wishing each other all the best for this 2026 that has just begun.

In the midst of these hugs and New Year's greetings, many also customarily wish me a happy birthday, since 1 January is my birthday. They always surprise me with a delicious cake so we can sing 'Happy Birthday' right there. This time I was expecting it, but they took a while to bring it up, and I thought they had forgotten to buy a cake. So everyone sang 'Happy Birthday' to me, we ate cake at that time of night to round off the dinner, and that's how my birthday began.

We sing happy birthday and then continue chatting until about 2 in the morning. I thank God for this day and this new year. My birthday is coming up, and it's a reason to celebrate. Well, I always joke with my family that I'm so important that 1 January is celebrated worldwide, but what's important is life and health, and that's why I give thanks.
