Couz'In Co': A Flower Bouquet Business With My Cousins ୧⍤⃝💐

Our family are business minded and it really runs in our blood.

Couz'In Co started after the Covid-19 pandemic because during the pandemic, my relationship with my cousins grew closer and stronger since we had a lot of time because our classes were online. We always found ourselves together and did everything together. One day we found ourselves talking about doing a simple business. Since my older cousins are very creative, one of us suggested that we should do a flower business. We thought there are a lot of ways to create a flower; one would be using a satin ribbon, and then there's also fuzzy wire.

We make a lot of flower bouquets whenever it's Mother's Day, Valentine's Day, and Teacher's Day since our target market is students; that is why our products are very affordable and budget-friendly.

We started our business in February 2024. Since it is the month of love, we made a lot of flower bouquets to the point where we were not able to get enough sleep. At first we were kind of nervous if there wouldn't be a lot of orders since our business was new, but thankfully, because we all worked together to promote our business, we were able to get the attention of many students and young adults.

The first flower we made was from satin ribbon; it was really tough making it. Our thumbs were hurting so much because to create the flower using satin ribbon, we needed to use a lighter and a glue stick. But our hands never stopped making flowers; even though it hurts, we would put in our minds that we need to make a lot, because a lot means more money for us. No pain, no gain! ૮₍ ˃ ⤙ ˂ ₎ა

To make our services stand out, we also made chocolate balls and chocolate cupcakes. It was really easy to make, and it really tastes good, so I also bought one for myself to eat.

There are a lot of challenges we experienced; one was there were orders that we accepted, but we were not able to give, and another was that there were deliveries that were late because we were so busy delivering to other places as well. If only we had more manpower, maybe all of those bad experiences wouldn't happen.

February 14, 2024, I would never forget the feeling of pressure because there were tons of orders, and we have classes; therefore, we can't really help during the day, and so 2 of my older cousins were the only ones handling the business. When I got home at noon, I immediately helped them deliver orders. I was not able to take a rest until midnight since there were still a lot of orders we needed to deliver even though it was almost midnight.

I learned that handling a business is not that easy; there will be bad and good experiences, but we all cope with it because stopping is not a choice for us. One bad review from customers does not mean we had to stop, what it means is we had to do better and learn from our mistakes. ୧⍤⃝💐
