Noche de baile con mi amiga Yei [ESP/ENG]

Hiiiiiiiiiiiiii, what's up? What do you do on a Friday after a heavy day and/or week, do you usually go dancing? This week has been a roller coaster for me, with its highs and its many lows I must say, and it had been a while that I wanted to go dancing, I had a month without going to my dance classes and I missed dancing a lot, I had invited my college friends to see if they wanted to go out for a drink but they were not very excited and coincidentally my friend Yei wrote me inviting me to go out for this same type of plan, I was very happy that we agreed on the idea and we agreed to meet at Mazucamba in downtown. Hoooola, ¿qué más? ¿Qué hacen un viernes después de un día y/o semana pesada? ¿Suelen ir a bailar? Esta semana ha sido una montaña rusa para mí, con sus altos y con sus muchos bajos debo de decir, y hacía un buen tiempo que quería ir a bailar, tenía un mes sin ir a mis clases de baile y extrañaba mucho bailar, había invitado a mis compañeros de la universidad a ver si querían salir a tomarnos algo pero no estaban muy animados y coincidentemente mi amiga Yei me escribe invitandome a salir para este mismo tipo de plan, me alegré mucho que coincidieramos en la idea y cuadramos de vernos en Mazucamba en el centro. Déjenme les cuento como nos fue. 👇👇👇👇👇

I left early from my evening class and stayed for a while for a talk on architecture presented by one of the professors of my design workshop, then I left there and went down with my classmates to chat, I told them that a friend had invited me to go out and in turn I invited them to accompany me but because of the time and distance they preferred to stay so I went alone to the place.

Salí temprano de mi clase de la noche y me quedé un rato para una charla sobre arquitectura que presentó uno de los profesores de mi taller de diseño, luego me fui de allí y bajé con mis compañeros a charlar, les comenté que me había invitado una amiga a salir y a su vez los invité yo a que me acompañaran pero por cuestiones de la hora y la distancia prefirieron quedarse así que me fui solo para el lugar.

I was already on my way alone and a classmate who was also going accompanied me the part from my school to Plaza Venezuela which is a bit long and alone at night, I said goodbye to him and went to take a bus, I grabbed the first one I saw because I didn't want to walk or wait too long, It turns out that there had been an accident ahead and we were stuck in traffic for a while, while waiting I took my wallet out of my pocket and put the ticket and my student card aside to pay less, I put them in my picket and then took them out again to pay, luckily the bus was able to deviate from its conventional route and we avoided the high traffic. I was lucky to be seated on this occasion, when I was approaching my destination I got up and suddenly the bus hit an acceleration that I almost fell, I think that at that moment I had my wallet badly put in my pocket and I dropped it, there I had my ID, my bank card, money that I had collected from the cookies I sell and my student card, besides it had been a gift and I lost it. I got out of the bus a little further ahead of where it hit the acceleration and proceeded to walk up a few blocks to go to the store where they were waiting for me.

Ya estaba de camino solo y un compañero que también se iba a me acompañó el tramo que hay de mi facultad hacia Plaza Venezuela que es algo largo y solo en la noche, me despedí de él en Plaza y me dirigí a tomar una camioneta, agarré la primera que vi pues no quería caminar ni esperar mucho, resulta que había habido un accidente más adelante y quedamos atrapados un rato en tráfico, mientras esperaba saqué de mi bolsillo mi cartera y aparté el pasaje y mi carnet estudiantil para pagar menos, me los guardé y luego volví a sacar para pagar, por suerte la camioneta pudo desviarse de su ruta convencional y evitamos el alto tráfico. Tuve suerte de ir sentado en esta ocasión, cuando me acercaba a mi destino me levanté y de repente la camioneta pegó un acelerón que casi me caigo, pienso que en ese momento tenía la cartera mal puesta en mi bolsillo y se me cayó, allí tenía mi cédula, mi tarjeta del banco, dinero que había cobrado de las galletas que vendo y mi carnet estudiantil, a parte había sido un regalo y lo perdí. Me bajé de la camioneta un poco más adelante de donde pegó el acelerón y procedí a subir unas cuadras para ir al local donde me esperaban.

Halfway I stopped to tie my braids, I don't know if maybe at that moment I dropped my wallet but when I was already arriving to my destination I remember that when I was walking I heard my keys a lot, I had them next to my wallet in my pocket, that caught my attention but as it was a dark street I didn't want to stop, and then I arrived at the store, I was asked to open my backpack to be checked and when I checked my pockets I realized that I didn't have my wallet, I took it very calmly I would say, I checked my backpack well then with my friend and indeed I had lost it, I was sad but I said to myself "I'm here, let's have a good time at least", I told my friend's dad about my situation and they were very kind to invite me what they were drinking (thank you very much if you read this).

A medio camino me detuve a atarme las trenzas, no sé si tal vez en ese momento más bien se me cayó la cartera pero cuando ya estaba llegando a mi destino recuerdo que al caminar escuchaba mucho mis llaves, las tenía junto a mi cartera en el bolsillo, eso me llamó la atención pero como era una calle oscura no quise detenerme, ya allí llegué al local, me pidieron que abriera mi bolso para ser revisado y al chequearme los bolsillos me di cuenta que ya no tenía mi cartera, me tomé muy calmado diría yo, revisé bien mi bolso luego con mi amiga y efectivamente la había perdido, me puse triste pero me dije "ya estoy aquí, vamos a pasar un buen rato por lo menos", le comenté mi situación al papá de mi amiga y fueron muy amables de invitarme lo que estaban tomando en la noche (mil gracias si leen esto).

My friend, her dad and some coworkers were there, I liked the coworkers very much and well I already knew my friend's dad a little bit but I could treat him more, we talked for a while sitting down, then we stopped to dance next to our table, there was a good DJ and pretty cool, they played rock and roll, Venezuelan rock, Hombres G, some old reggaeton, and tambor, several people started to dance, the people present had a lot of energy i gotta say. After that they played a good time of salsa and I asked Yei to dance, I had a long time without dancing salsa as I said and honestly I don't consider I master it so I did my best attempt, Yei also had a long time without dancing so it took us a while to get the hang of it, I thought they would play some soft songs but no, the DJ was selecting fast and strong songs like Rebelión and La Pantera Mambo so we got tired quickly.

Estaban mi amiga, su papá y unos compañeros de trabajo, me cayeron los compañeros súper bien y bueno al papá de mi amiga ya lo conocía un poco pero pude tratarlo más, hablamos un rato sentados, luego nos paramos para bailar junto a nuestra mesa, había un buen DJ y bastante chévere, colocaron rock and roll, rock venezolano, Hombres G, bastante reguetón viejo, y tambor, que entramos a bailar varias personas, la gente presente tenía mucha energía la verdad. Después de eso colocaron un bueeen rato de salsa y saqué a bailar a Yei, tenía mucho tiempo sin bailar salsa como les comentaba y honestamente no considero que la domino así que hice mi mejor intento, Yei también tenía mucho tiempo que no bailaba así que nos tomó un momentico agarrar el hilo, pensaba que colocarían unas canciones suaves pero no, justamente al DJ le picó por colocar canciones rápidas y fuertes como Rebelión y La Pantera Mambo así que nos cansamos rápido.

We sat down because with the heat and the tiredness we were already dead, we started to drink beer and talk, after a while they put bachata, which was what I was waiting for sincerely, Yei and I did not dance bachata since last year practically and as we saw classes and we graduated together it was already a habit for us to dance every weekend, in short, we went and took out the forbidden dance moves, I was quite surprised that I remembered many figures although there were many that for doubt I did not dare to do them, I realized that we called enough attention, even a guy came up to me and asked me to let my friend to dance with him, I found it curious how he danced, he had flow although he danced with the foot that wasn't, that then did not matter much as DJ played traditional and that is indifferent there.

Nos sentamos porque con el calor que hacía más el cansancio ya estábamos muertos, nos pusimos a tomar cerveza y a hablar, luego de un buen rato colocaron bachata, que era lo que más estaba esperando sinceramente, Yei y yo no bailabamos bachata desde el año pasado prácticamente y como veíamos clases y nos graduamos juntos pues ya era costumbre para nosotros bailar todos los fines, en fin, fuimos y sacamos los prohibidos, me sorprendí bastante de que acordara de muchas figuras aunque había muchas que por duda no me animé a hacerlas, me di cuenta que llamamos bastante la atención, incluso un chico se me acercó y me pidió que le dejara a mi amiga para que bailase con él, me pareció curioso como bailaba, tenía flow aunque bailaba con el pie que no era pero bueno, eso ya luego no importó mucho que colocaron tradicional y allí es indiferente eso.

By this time of the night we were exhausted, we sat down to continue drinking and talking but with the heat we went outside to get some air and took some pictures, after that we raised the idea of going to eat and Yei's dad's friends suggested a chicken place that they said was very good, we were about to leave when the DJ asked us to stay for a couple more songs, it seems that he liked us haha.

Ya para este momento de la noche estábamos agotados, nos sentamos para seguir tomando y conversando pero con el calor que hacía salimos para tomar aire y aprovechamos de tomarnos varias fotos, luego de eso planteamos la idea de ir a comer y los amigos del papá de Yei propusieron un lugar de pollo que según era muy bueno, estábamos a punto de irnos cuando el DJ nos pidió que nos quedaramos para un par de canciones más, parece que le agradamos jaja.

From there we went to eat, we walked a long way to where the car was and drove to Plaza Catia to the chicken place, I must say that the chicken and french fries were pretty good but Yei and I didn't eat almost nothing, there was so much left that they gave me half of it, nice gesture also from the people we were with. After spending some more time in this other place where we were basically the only ones there, we went to drop off a couple of people and then they left me at home quite late, it was almost 4am and today Saturday I had salsa classes early. De allí ahora si nos fuimos a comer, caminamos un buen tramo hasta donde estaba el auto y manejamos hasta Plaza Catia al lugar de pollo, debo decir que el pollo y las papas estaban bastante buenas pero de tanto tomar Yei y yo no comimos casi nada, quedó tanto que me regalaron la mitad, lindo gesto también de las personas con las que andabamos. Después de pasar otro rato en este otro local en los que basicamente eramos los únicos ahí, fuimos a dejar a un par de personas y luego pasaron dejandome a mi en mi casa bastante tarde ya, eran casi las 4am y hoy sábado tenía clases de salsa temprano. Y ese fue mi día distinto, de verdad que la pasé muuuy bien pese a lo de mi cartera, por aquí les dejo la cuenta de Instagram de Mazucamba, comenten me si suelen acudir a este tipo de planes, que como siempre me pasa y pienso, son mejores cuando son espóntaneos.
