Hay salidas que sin planificarlas resultan bastante geniales, y justamente esto sucedió el día de ayer cuando a última hora tocó salir con Matías al cine ya que se reuniría con unos amigos y como iría Arturo, mejor amigo de Matías e hijo de mi amiga Claudi, pues rápidamente se armó el plan. Los chicos entrarían al cine y nosotras aprovecharíamos de conversar y recorrer el centro comercial, que en este caso fue el C.C. Parque Costa Azul.
There are outings that turn out to be pretty great even without planning, and that's exactly what happened yesterday when, at the last minute, Matías had to go to the movies with some friends, and since Arturo, Matías' best friend and my friend Claudi's son, was going too, the plan was quickly made. The boys would go to the movies, and we would take advantage of the time to chat and walk around the mall, which in this case was the Parque Costa Azul Mall.
Como ya es costumbre me iría con Claudimar, así que nos reunimos en el punto de encuentro de siempre (Farmatodo), y de ahí seguimos al centro comercial donde ya estaban algunos de sus compañeros esperando, apenas llegamos se compraron las entradas, y no dio tiempo de fotos, ya que estaban sobre la hora y justo cuando Claudimar y yo estábamos lista para nuestra tarde de chicas, el papá de uno de los compañeros de los niños nos invitó a un café y esto se prolongó hasta que terminó la peli, y con nuestros planes frustrados tocó un plan B.
Así que una vez nos despedimos de los demás papás, buscamos un lugar donde cenar, pero la verdad nada de lo que había disponible en la feria nos gustó y decidimos ir a La Asunción por unas pizzas en un lugar que nos encanta y que tiene por nombre La Guachafita, que como ya les he contado está ubicado en la plaza de La Asunción y ofrece una variedad de platillos, pero nosotros íbamos por las pizzas y por algunas fotitos navideñas con los chicos ya que la plaza está realmente linda.
As usual, I was going with Claudimar, so we met at our usual meeting point (Farmatodo), and from there we went to the mall where some of her friends were already waiting. As soon as we arrived, they bought their tickets, and there was no time for photos, as they were running late and just when Claudimar and I were ready for our girls' afternoon, the father of one of the children's classmates invited us for coffee, which lasted until the movie ended. With our plans thwarted, it was time for plan B.
So, once we said goodbye to the other parents, we looked for a place to have dinner, but we didn't like anything that was available at the fair, so we decided to go to La Asunción for some pizza at a place we love called La Guachafita, which, as I've already told you, is located in La Asunción square and offers a variety of dishes, but we went for the pizza and to take some Christmas photos with the kids, as the square is really pretty.
Camino a la salida tratamos de tomar algunas fotos a los chicos en una casita de jengibre súper linda que estaba en el centro comercial, y digo "tratamos" porque ya ven el resultado, ellos caminando sin querer posar para las fotos 🤣
En fin, que sin insistir mucho porque ya están grandes, salimos del centro comercial para darnos cuenta que estaba lloviendo súper fuerte, pero aún así seguimos con el plan, las ganas de comer pizza eran grandes, así que nos subimos al carro con rumbo a La Asunción, aunque un poco preocupadas porque los que vivimos en la isla sabemos que con solo minutos de lluvia las calles colapsan.
On the way out, we tried to take some photos of the kids in a super cute gingerbread house in the mall, and I say "tried" because, as you can see from the results, they were walking around and didn't want to pose for photos 🤣
Anyway, without insisting too much because they're already grown up, we left the mall only to realize that it was raining really hard, but we stuck to the plan anyway. We really wanted pizza, so we got in the car and headed to La Asunción, although we were a little worried because those of us who live on the island know that it only takes a few minutes of rain for the streets to flood.
Llegamos a la plaza y la lluvia había bajado su intensidad, así que nos estacionamos y caminamos directo al local, tomamos asiento y pedimos nuestras pizzas solo para que nos dijeran que ya no tenían más, así que algunos pedimos hamburguesas (Matías, Arturo y yo), Claudi pidió un shawarma y César el hijo menor de Clau un perro caliente Jumbo. Todo muy rico la verdad, pero lamentablemente no pudimos tomar casi fotos porque la lluvia regresó con fuerza y aunque estábamos en una mesita con sombrilla, la brisa nos estaba bañando 🤣
Comimos y de inmediato nos subimos al carro rumbo a nuestras casitas, y aunque la noche no fue lo que planeamos, contra todo pronóstico decidimos pasarla bien y así fue, a pesar de la lluvia y de no comer lo que teníamos pensando nos reímos un montón con todos los incidentes de la noche, y disfrutamos de nuestro encuentro inesperado y un poco atropellado 🤣
We arrived at the square and the rain had eased off, so we parked and walked straight to the restaurant, sat down, and ordered our pizzas, only to be told that they were sold out. So some of us ordered hamburgers (Matías, Arturo, and I), Claudi ordered a shawarma, and César, Clau's youngest son, ordered a jumbo hot dog. Everything was really delicious, but unfortunately we couldn't take many photos because the rain came back with a vengeance and even though we were at a table with an umbrella, the breeze was soaking us 🤣
We ate and immediately got in the car to head back to our houses, and although the night didn't go as planned, against all odds we decided to have a good time, and that's what we did. Despite the rain and not eating what we had planned, we laughed a lot about all the incidents of the night and enjoyed our unexpected and somewhat rushed get-together 🤣
