WHAT IS NEW YEAR???
New Year is a time when people start fresh, leave the past behind, and look forward to a new beginning. It's a chance to set goals and make positive changes. Different cultures celebrate it with traditions and resolutions to improve their lives and be happy in the coming year.
WHAT HAPPENED DURING NEW YEAR??
New Year marks the end of one year and the start of another. People celebrate with countdowns, fireworks, and parties. Different cultures have unique traditions and customs, such as making resolutions or eating special foods. It’s a time for reflection, renewal, and setting goals for the upcoming year.
THE PREPARATION and THE CELEBRATION!!
At first, we prepared the fruits into containers because it's our tradition to place 12 different kinds of fruits for New Year. We also packed 13 grapes in each container, as we will place them on our doors and windows.
Look, our refrigerator is so full, and we still have more to put in there.
After that, I cooked shrimp because it's my favorite food, even though I'm allergic to it. We also decorated the wall and the table. By the way, I'm the mastermind behind all of this because I want our New Year's celebration to be grand.
I also took pictures of our dishes, which include biscuits, various candies and chocolates in one container, cake, budbud kabog, crispy pata, lechon kawali, shrimp, maja blanca, and more.
This is my mischievous nephew who just won't let go of the candies and fruits.
Here's our simple design and spread; it's nothing extravagant, but as long as we're happy, that's what matters.
Before 12 o'clock, my sister and I decided to take some pictures.
After the countdown, we took pictures with the family, although not everyone was there. But before that, we all counted down together and celebrated. We were so happy, jumping around. I also made an effort to eat the 12 grapes under the table.
Celebrating New Year with my family is always a memorable experience, filled with traditions, joy, and laughter. From preparing the fruits and special dishes to decorating our home, every moment of the preparation and celebration was meaningful. It’s not just about the food or the decorations; it’s about coming together as a family, reflecting on the past year, and looking forward to a fresh start.
No matter how simple or grand the celebration is, what matters most is the happiness and love we share with each other. Here’s to new beginnings, new goals, and the hope that the coming year will bring more blessings to all. Happy New Year!
