A Fambam Chapter: Celebrating My Younger's Cousin 5th Birthday

Have you ever felt so complete and contented by just seeing a smile from a fragile kid? The way the children lift their cheeks and give those squinting eyes from smiling, their sweet chuckle, and their endearing laughter. Children do really have their way of making us feel that our lives can be easily enjoyed.

Hello! What’s up, HIVEANS? I have good news for everybody. I just survived my second week in school. There were countless adjustments I had to make with the people around me, the environment, and the start of class discussions. I’ve been busy these days, yet I still had time to spend some moments with my family.

A birthday was celebrated by the family. I feel like I’m now gradually introducing my cousins here in Hive.😅 Anyways, my younger cousin, Keziah Sobe, celebrated her 5th birthday with us. She is a bright kid, very talkative, and wise, and she swiftly picks up the lessons she hears or sees. On her day of momentum, I saw the child in me. She was the child I used to be back then. I mean, not totally physically; it’s her personality and the way she appreciates things, even if they’re just simple gestures.

I’m more than thankful to be able to witness her day. Now, I’m going to share what, where, and how we celebrated her natal day.

AT HOME

It was 3:00 pm when I arrived from school, and I was awed and surprised. Everyone is changing into their fancy clothes and neat makeup. Even the birthday celebrant was ready to go. It totally bewildered me since I wasn’t informed the day before. My auntie then told me to get change quickly so we could fetch my younger brother at school, and we'd straighten out and hit the road towards the venue.

Preparation for me went quick, I was able to change clothes and put light makeup. Then, my grandfather stepped the gas!

PRE-CELEBRATION

My auntie decided to have dinner at a nearby place. We arrived in SM Consolacion. Can someone guess what restaurant we chose to enter? Drum roll, please!

Choobi Choobi! Did anyone get that right? In one of my previous blogs, my family had dinner at the same restaurant. This restaurant is really our go-to for dinner. I also recommend eating in this place. Here in SM Consolacion, the Choobi Choobi is located on the second floor, beside the Majestic restaurant.

When we arrived inside, there were no people, maybe because it was a weekday. My family occupied a 16-seat table. While they order, me and my sister were given an errand. Buying a cake!

GOLDILOCKS.

We were told to buy a Lucious Caramel Cake, which costs 590 pesos or 10.39 USD. Then we wrote the greetings for the cake and bought a candle. After that short errand, we swiftly went back to our family.

THE CELEBRATION

The family started the celebration with a prayer. My grandfather blessed the food, and then shortly after the prayer, everyone sang for my cousin. The candle was lit up by her father, and everyone was taking a video and picture of the heartwarming moment. This was the time I saw her genuine and priceless smile, a thing that only a child can effortlessly give to everyone.

Foods were complete, and it’s a signal to dig up! Everyone enjoyed the savory food that was served. Here is a list of the foods we ordered. You guys can try this if you ever choose to visit the Choobi Choobi restaurant.

THE MENU:

Sinigang Baboy
Pork Sisig
Grilled Tuna
Crispy Pata
Buttered Seafood(Tahong, Calamares, Shrimp, assorted seafoods)
Pancit Canton
Bam-i
Rice
Four seasons pitcher

Fun fact: I was able to have 3 cups of rice during the dinner. Choobi Choobi really serves the perfect dishes that are suitable for my standard of Filipino food. Just perfect!

We came with empty stomachs, and then after eating the yummy dinner, we barely managed to stand up. However, my auntie encouraged the kids to have some playtime at the Quantum so they could spend the spare tokens they had from last time. My grandparents went to the car to wait for everyone while I bought some of my requirements at the National Bookstore. The family split up after the dinner and gathered together at the parking space at 8:30 p.m. Then, a beautiful sight really got me.

THE BLUE MOON

I am a selenophile. A person who greatly adores the moon. Every time the moon shows up in front of me, the camera is always there with me. It’s been a lucky night, I guess. A blue moon graced the earth with its beauty and majestic moonlight.

After a short moment of capturing the moon, we left the mall and decided to go home.

It’s always the spontaneous adventures or walks that amaze me. It never fails to give me enough joy and genuine love for the world and my life. Every time I’m able to have a good time amidst the tight adjustments, I’m so grateful. It makes me think, "I’m so grateful for this life." Then my endless gratitude arises.

If there’s one thing that could become a natural cure and therapy for all problems, it is the family. The people we treat as our own and the moments we share with them.

That’s all, everyone! Thank you for taking the time to read my blog. I really appreciate everyone here at Hive. Thank you, HIVE, for letting me express my thoughts and feelings.

How about you guys? What’s your natural cure or therapy in life? Or maybe you guys can share some of your cousins names.😅 Because I feel like I’ve been introducing my cousins around here in HIVE. Anyway, I hope everybody has great days ahead.
