Good day, my beautiful, sweetest hive family. This is @queeniemary once again, here with a new blog. But first, let me check in with all of you. How was your day? Was it tiring, or are you feeling down today? Don't worry, just surrender all your worries or the things that are making you tired to God. Trust in Him, for He will restore your strength.
Now that I've checked in on all of you, let me share my experience of my recent vacation at home with my family.
On March 27-28, @chimegipamus informed us that we could take a two-day vacation, as we didn't have any classes. This provided a wonderful opportunity for me to spend time with my family. I was so excited about going home that I immediately packed my clothes and other essentials needed for my stay.
Upon my arrival at home, I found the house empty because my father was out driving a motorcycle for our living, and my mother was cleaning our neighbor's house for some extra income. The only ones at home when I arrived were my niece and nephew. Since I had bought something for them, I gave it to them immediately. It was a duck toy with a clip, designed to be attached to hair.

A lovely smile of my niece
When my nephew received the toy, I was taken aback as he started to cry. His older sister explained to me that Nathan, my nephew, had always wanted that particular toy, but their mother couldn't afford to buy it for him. That's why he was so happy, and honestly, it made me emotional. Seeing my nephew cry over something simple that I bought for them made me realize that even small gestures can mean a lot.
We also watched cartoon movies. However, before we could start, my nephew and his older sister had a disagreement. Nathan, my nephew, wanted to watch "Larva," while his sister wanted to watch "Barbie." To resolve the dispute, I decided that we would watch both movies. We started with "Larva," and then we watched "Barbie." This decision helped to stop their argument.
While my nieces and nephews were watching cartoons, I decided to pick a papaya from our backyard. My mother is fond of gardening, so I asked her if I could get a papaya for our snack. She agreed, so I immediately ran to our backyard to fetch a papaya. After I brought the papaya, my mom suggested that she would peel it and I could slice it. I seized the opportunity to capture her in this moment.
After peeling the papaya, I sliced it into small pieces to make it appear more plentiful. Once I finished slicing the papaya, I washed it with clean water and added some vinegar and salt.
papaya with vinegar
Here is the final presentation. I'm thrilled to taste this papaya with vinegar, as it has been quite a while since I last enjoyed this. Adding chili can enhance the flavor with a spicy touch, but considering my nieces and nephews who will be joining me, I opted not to include any chili.
For our lunch, I asked my mom if I could be the one to prepare the main dish, and she agreed. So, I decided to cook "Eggplant Adobo". I learned this recipe from @chimegipamus, so I was confident that I could prepare it, not flawlessly, but deliciously. After cooking, my mom tasted it and said it was tasty and the seasoning was just right. I felt so delighted that I could finally cook for my parents.
It was in the afternoon when I told my nephews and nieces that we would go for a walk along the street to get some fresh air. Honestly, I'm not the type of person who enjoys going outside and walking around, so my mom was happy when I told her about our plan to go for a walk along the street. When I went outside, my aunts kept asking me questions like, "Are you going out?" "It's good that you're going out." "How many days are you going to spend your vacation here?" and many more questions, to which I honestly answered.
Goodbye kiss of her grandfather
While we were enjoying our walk on the street, my niece, Napthali, shouted in excitement when she saw her grandfather with his motorcycle. He was about to go on his usual routine which is driving his motorcycle, something he typically does at 4 pm to earn some money for our meals. Upon seeing her grandfather, Napthali didn't want to let go because she wanted to accompany him, so I had to restrain her. However, her grandfather needed to leave, so she had to bid him goodbye. I know my father is tired, he just doesn't show it. It's evident to me, as he always drives his motorcycle in the morning, afternoon, and evening.
After walking, I decided that we should sit down because we were really tired from all the walking. We got hungry from our walk, so I bought them some food which they really enjoyed. I truly love spending time with my nieces and nephews. I only get to see them occasionally, so y cherish the time I spend with them.
It was 6 pm, so I decided that we should head home as it was getting late. When we got home, my nieces and nephews ate again because they were still hungry. After resting, they went to bed. y had a great time with my family and enjoyed every moment I spent with them.
Love your family and treasure the moments you spend with them because we never know what will happen next. That's all for now, thank you for reading my blog. Please show your support by reblogging, commenting, and upvoting. Thank you and God bless you all.

I've heard it again and again, but you have to experience how important family is here in the Philippines and how close the family members are, because it's so different from the West.
Family is really important specially here in the Philippines. We value our family
