Life is a constant celebration, and we can enjoy it through the birthdays of our loved ones. We cannot let any day, hour, minute, or second that we are given alongside them go unnoticed, much less those that are more special, such as reaching another year of life, because they are simply with us today, and we do not know about tomorrow, which makes these moments worth twice as much.
We were celebrating my mom's 54th birthday. As is tradition, we gathered at home, but without some of my loved ones, such as my grandparents, uncles, aunts, and cousins, because sometimes circumstances don't allow it. She was a little sad about that. I thought I would also be absent due to work commitments, but I managed to arrive in time to accompany her and lift her spirits. It was a difficult Monday, but I was able to spend time with one of the people I love most and from whom I receive the most support on a daily basis.
My mom put together her own Christmas-themed decorations. We're pretty creative in my house (myself included), so balloons abound on every birthday. She had two cakes, a simple vanilla one and a tres leches and queso with whipped cream on top, which my sister @noelyss gave her along with José, her ex-boyfriend but a close friend of the family. We had to keep the cake in the fridge for a while because it loses its shape when it's not refrigerated.
We sang Happy Birthday before 8 p.m., which was a little early, but the important thing is that we did it with great enthusiasm, joy, and a desire to eat cake, of course. I must say that the dessert was delicious. There can be no celebration without a rich and sweet cake. It's a shame that I could only eat one piece because the next day there wasn't even a little bit left. Everyone loved it, even though there were only a few of us.
My heart swells with gratitude when I see my mother smiling and dancing with my daughters. With that grand finale, we closed this celebration. I also sent her some gifts earlier that day, through my girls, but there is nothing more valuable than the company we gave her that day. Our presence is worth more than any gift, in addition to the memory of being with her on her 54th birthday.

La vida es una constante celebración y podemos disfrutar de ella a través de los cumpleaños de nuestros seres queridos, no podemos pasar por desapercibido ningún día, hora, minuto o segundos que se nos regala al lado de ellos y mucho menos aquellos que son más especiales como lo es alcanzar un año más de vida, porque sencillamente hoy están con nosotros y mañana no sabemos, lo que hace que los momentos valgan más y el doble.
Estuvimos celebrando el cumpleaños #54 de mi mamá, como es tradición nos reunimos en casa, pero sin parte de mis seres queridos como mis abuelos, tíos y primos, porque a veces las circunstancias no lo permiten, ella estaba un poco triste por eso, yo creí que también estaría ausente por asuntos de trabajo pero logré llegar a tiempo para acompañarla y cambiar su estado de ánimo, fue un lunes difícil pero fue posible llegar a compartir con una de las personas que más amo y de las cuáles más apoyo recibo diariamente.
Mi mamá armo su propia decoración con temática navideña, en mi casa somos bastante creativos (me incluyo) así que los globos abundan en cada cumpleaños, tuvo dos pasteles, uno sencillo de vainilla y uno de tres leches y quesillo con crema batida en la cubierta que le regalo mi hermana @noelyss junto con José su ex-novio pero que es muy amigo de la familia, tuvimos que tener un rato el pastel en la nevera porque pierde su forma cuando no está refrigerada.
Cantamos el cumpleaños feliz antes de las 8 de la noche algo temprano, pero lo importante es que lo hicimos con mucho entusiasmo, alegría y ganas de comer pastel porsupuesto, debo decir que el postre estaba exquisito, no puede haber una celebración sin un rico y dulce pastel, es una lástima que solo pude comer un pedazo porque al otro día ya no había ni un poquito del mismo, a todos les encantó y eso que éramos pocos.
Mi corazón se hincha de agradecimiento, cuando veo a mi madre sonreír y bailar con mis hijas con ese broche de oro cerramos esta celebración, también le hice llegar unos presentes más temprano ese día, a través de mis niñas, pero no hay nada que tenga más valor que la compañía que le dimos ese día, la presencia vale más que cualquier regalo, además del recuerdo de estar con ella en su cumpleaños #54.
