Hello my fellow wanderers. It's Marinel, (minelwanders20) sharing you another milestone of my life. But today, it's not about travelling, but rather a celebration of being a teacher. Time flies so fast, before I am the one who makes surprises for my beloved teachers, making post card letters, buying beautiful flowers, sweets and chocolates but today I will be the one to get those surprises. My heart is so full today. I am overwhelmed with everything I received not just about those presents but most specially the heartfelt messages from my students. And yeah, here's what happened for the celebration of Teacher's Day.
Today is the day that we got to celebrate Teacher's Day. The SSG President and other officers planned a program for us. Some will sing, while others will perform dances. They also prepared a lot of games. All the officers and members of SSG are the ones who facilitate the game, and we teachers will the ones playing. It felt like we went back to being kids. We had so much fun, laughing non-stop, and we were drenched in sweat from all the excitement. HAHAHA 🤣
After all the games prepared with our students, our school head also prepared something for us. We didn't expect this but we're just beyond grateful. We we're called by grade level. By the way I am teaching grade 7, 8, and 10 as a subject teacher but my class advisory is grade 7. At this point, we were called by our school head and gives us her present. And of course, we are so happy. And you can really see it in our faces how grateful we are.
After all the programs and tribute from the students to their advisers and beloved subject teachers, I thought that was the end of the activity but unexpectedly when I was in the office eating my lunch there is someone looking for me, and guess who? It's my brother. Yeah 😅 I really didn't expect this since we're not that kind of siblings that are so sweet with one another, but we know that we love each other only that, we are not so vocal with our feelings.
So this is unexpected, and I am so surprised at the same time extra happy and loved that he got the courage to greet me and brought me a present on this special day as me being an educator. I think I could not ask for more, knowing that I was valued and appreciated with all the person whom I treasure.
Another pahabol present from my grade 8 students before. I thought they didn't seem to think of me anymore or prepare anything for me since I no longer handled any subjects in their class. However, I was happily surprised that some students remembered me and expressed their appreciation for the time that I was their MAPEH teacher. I was really happy with these kids because I thought they wouldn't think of me anymore and would focus on their current adviser and subject teachers.
Weeewww! A lot of presentssss! 😍 And of course this is my favorite, charrsss! 😅 Our master teacher prepared something for all the teachers and to our school head. She gave us pen, burger 😋 and a very cute note pads. What I like about the note pads is that it was printed with our powerful picture HAHA! She really choose the beautiful pictures. We aren't shy about giving our notepad if someone asks a note or a memo. I just loved it. 🤗 And I don't want to use it, I will just keep it.
When I got home, I thought that would be all for this day. BUT, my husband planned a dinner date with me in a well known stall that offers very delicious and unique foods in Naga City. This stall named Frappy N' Tea. They also offered different beverages, cold drinks, shakes, milk teas and even frappes. What I loved in their drink is the flavored milk shake. It's very delicious and very refreshing. This is my comfort drink. I always ordered this one when we visit this stall.
When we got here, we immediately ordered our foods and drinks. As we are waiting for our order my husband took a picture of me and posted it on his facebook account as a Myday and greeted me a Happy Teacher's Day. Not just on the facebook platform, but he also greeted me in person earlier when I got home from school. I really appreciate his gesture and effort to make me feel that it is really my day. That I really did a great job. It was already enough all the things he did to me and for the appreciation he showed me, this dinner date is only a bonus. And of course, I am very happy from all the love I get today.
It took a while for our order to arrive, and I was so excited to eat and to taste the food. As our order was being served in our table, I immediately took a picture and post it on my facebook account, thanking my husband for this dinner treat. By the way we ordered Chicken Katsu for our food and it cost 299 per bowl and for my drink I ordered Strawberry smoothies, and as for my husband he ordered Cappuccino Frappe. So moving forward, we ate our food and enjoyed our drinks. After we had our dinner, we decided to had a walk on the baywalk plaza and enjoy the scenery before we go home.
So I think that would be all for my lovely day today, I hope you are entertained and enjoyed my blog.
