Hola mis amigos HIVE, especialmente a la comunidad de family & friends, en el día de hoy vengo por acá a contarles los últimos acontecimientos en mi familia, la cual es muy unida y todos nos queremos mucho. El pasado domingo 12 de mayo se celebró el día de las madres, y como siempre lo hacemos, nos reunimos una vez más para celebrarlo en casa de la madre más longeva de la familia, mi abuela.
Desde días antes comenzamos con los preparativos, pues la familia es bien grande y toda la logística que se necesita, como dice el buen cubano "lleva papa", y más en estos días de crisis por los que atraviesa nuestro país, pues todo lo que encuentras, está excesivamente caro, así que nos pusimos de acuerdo entre todos para colaborar y que el hueco no fuera tan hondo en uno solo y así poder pasar todos un buen día, sin pensar en la crisis que esto traería para nuestro bolsillo, durante el resto del mes, pues en estos días para hacer algo, hay que pensarlo bien.
Después que se consiguió todo lo necesario, comenzamos desde el día antes con los preparativos, yo desde la noche anterior me trasladé hacia la casa de mi abuela, para ayudar a mi tía con todo y no dejarlo para el mismo día, pues los apagones nos están afectando bastante y queríamos adelantar algunas cositas, nos pusimos a adobar el pollo, hacer los dulces, pelar las viandas, ablandar los frijoles para hacer congrí, en fin, hicimos unos buñuelos, y los dejamos listos para freír al otro día, limpiamos la casa y todo lo demás que fuese necesario, para ahorrarnos trabajo al día siguiente y disfrutarlo a plenitud.
En la mañana siguiente nos levantamos temprano, pues la casa se llenaría de gente, ya que la pequeña parte de nuestra familia que queda aquí en Cuba, vendrían en unas horas a pasar juntos el día y celebrarlo juntos a mi abuela como corresponde, no sin antes decir que para mí fue un lujo despertar al lado de madre más vieja de la familia y regalarle junto a mi tía, un ramito de lirios que encontré bien florecido tempranito en la mañana en el jardín.
Sobre las 10 de la mañana comenzaron a llegar todos, enseguida pusimos música y a festejar,jajajá,es emocionante cuando en esos días importantes se reúne toda la familia, son de los días más bonitos de nuestras vidas, pues ellos llenas nuestro corazón de alegría y regocijo, y por supuesto, la más feliz era mi abuela, esa que ha inculcado a todos, hijos y cada uno de sus nietos, la unión familiar y el amor por la familia, pues a ella le encanta ver a todos reunidos en el mismo lugar, y aunque faltaron muchos porque viven en otros países, pues a medida que fue pasando el día, se hicieron también presentes en algún momento mediante llamadas telefónicas.
Después de pasado un rato, comenzamos a repartir los regalitos que le teníamos a cada una de las madres allí presentes, ya sean las tías, también a mi mamá, mi hermana y abuela, regalos colectivos por supuesto, pues la economía está en crisis por estos días ja, ja, ja, pero quisimos tener un pequeño detalle, aunque fuera algo sencillos, pero que les diera a entender que siempre las tenemos presentes y que todas son importantes en nuestras vidas, pues sin las madres, no existiera la procreación.
Sobre las 1 de la tarde servimos el almuerzo y todo lo que había preparados para comer incluyendo los dulces, que de más está decir, que todo estaba riquísimo, primero comieron las mujeres y por supuesto los más pequeños de la familia, ja, ja, ja en esos me incluyo yo, no por edad, sino por tamaño, y después los hombres, pues además de que a ellos les gusta primero darse los traguitos de ron, que eso no puede faltar, también aunque la mesa de la casa de mi abuela es bien extensa, pues definitivamente no cambian todos ja, ja, ja.
Todo estaba exquisito, lo que había estaba buenísimo en sabor y textura, y lo mejor por supuesto era la compañía y la colaboración entre todos, pienso que para los días que se están viviendo por estas fechas, podría decirse que hicimos almuerzo de reyes, pues gracias a Dios encontramos todo lo necesario para ello, y para que este día fuera posible disfrutarlo como lo hicimos, pues cada quien aportó su granito de arena.
El resto de la tarde lo pasamos súper, entre conversaciones, cuentos y contar el día a día de cada uno de nosotros que a veces a pesar de querernos muchos, pues pasamos días sin vernos, ya que la vida tan agitada que llevamos no nos lo permite, por suerte este día, los apagones nos llevaron suave y el calor pudimos soportarlo gracias a la extraordinaria brisa que corría en el portal, la cual hizo que el día terminara perfecto.
Sobre las 5 de la tarde ya todo el mundo se fue regresando a sus casas, pues hay algunos que vivimos lejos de la casa principal, yo me quedé ese día también para ayudar a mi tía a recoger el desorden que por lo general provoca él entra y sale de gente en días como estos, y aunque terminamos exhaustas, pues nos quedó la satisfacción del día tan bueno que pasamos reunidos todos en familia, y además celebrando un día tan especial como el de las madres, donde cada una de ellas se regresó a su casa satisfecha, esas madres que entregan todas sus fuerzas, devoción y amor al cuidado de sus hijos.

After getting everything we needed, we started the day before with the preparations, I moved to my grandmother's house the night before, to help my aunt with everything and not leave it for the same day, because the blackouts are affecting us a lot and we wanted to advance some little things, We started to marinate the chicken, make the sweets, peel the viands, soften the beans to make congrí, in short, we made some fritters, and we left them ready to fry the next day, we cleaned the house and everything else that was necessary, to save us work the next day and enjoy it to the fullest.
The next morning we got up early, because the house would be full of people, since the small part of our family that remains here in Cuba, would come in a few hours to spend the day together and celebrate it together with my grandmother, not without saying that for me it was a luxury to wake up next to the oldest mother of the family and give her and my aunt, a sprig of lilies that I found in bloom early in the morning in the garden.
Around 10 o'clock in the morning everyone started to arrive, we immediately played music and started to celebrate, hahaha, it is exciting when on those important days the whole family gets together, they are the most beautiful days of our lives, because they fill our hearts with joy and happiness, and of course, the happiest was my grandmother, who has instilled in everyone, children and each of her grandchildren, family unity and love for the family, she has instilled in everyone, children and each of her grandchildren, family unity and love for the family, because she loves to see everyone gathered in the same place, and although many were missing because they live in other countries, as the day went by, they were also present at some point through phone calls.
After a while, we began to distribute the little gifts we had for each of the mothers present, whether aunts, my mom, my sister and grandmother, collective gifts of course, because the economy is in crisis these days ha, ha, ha, ha, but we wanted to have a small detail, even if it was something simple, but that gave them to understand that we always have them present and that all are important in our lives, because without mothers, there would be no procreation.
Around 1 pm we served lunch and everything that was prepared to eat including the sweets, which needless to say, everything was delicious, first the women ate and of course the smallest of the family, ha, ha, ha, ha in those I include myself, not by age, but by size, and then the men, because besides that they like to have a little rum first, that can not miss, also although the table at my grandmother's house is very large, well definitely not all change ha, ha, ha, ha, ha.
Everything was exquisite, what we had was delicious in taste and texture, and the best thing of course was the company and the collaboration among all, I think that for the days we are living these days, you could say that we had a lunch of kings, because thank God we found everything we needed for it, and for this day to be able to enjoy it as we did, because everyone contributed their bit.
The rest of the afternoon we spent super, between conversations, stories and tell the day to day of each one of us that sometimes in spite of loving each other very much, we spend days without seeing each other, because the hectic life that we lead does not allow us, luckily this day, the blackouts took us soft and the heat we could bear it thanks to the extraordinary breeze that ran in the portal, which made the day ended perfect.
