Hello my dear hivers from this wonderful community @family-friends! How are you and your friends and family doing? I hope you're all safe and feeling well as you read this post. May you finish everything you have set to do for this day.

My husband is living with me in our small town. Since I was hired and given a permanent job opportunity here, he sacrificed to be away from his own family to build our own. So I make sure every year, he gets to visit his family back home. And going home doesn't mean he alone will go, he doesn't like that idea. We are his plus ones, haha. He goes home with us every year.

Today I will share to you our last visit in their hometown with just, Yashfeen our only child back then. Now she has a younger brother Yusef. So it was back in 2024 when we visited there. We were not able to go there this year because I am to give birth to my youngest child during the time of my vacation. But my husband was able to visit his hometown alone twice this year.

So back to our family trip to the beach, in their city there is this Island. It's called Sipaway Island. From the city proper, it is about 30 to 45 minutes pumpboat ride. Depending on the strength of the waves. But during our visit to the island it was a sunny day and the waves are a little calm so we came to the island faster.

We were with his cousins who was my roommate back in college. She's really close to me. Another reason I didn't had a second thought to have this trip pursued. It was her first visit to her family there after being married. She's with her first child also who's same age with my daughter.

We also have my husband's cousins from his maternal side. Both so jolly and easy to be with. There's also his younger sister who loves to swim but don't really know how to swim, haha. It was a good time for her as her cousins taught her some basics in swimming like floating and holding her breathing.

With us also were my husband's uncle, but not really uncle type because they only have a year age gap. So my husband treat this uncle of him like his brother. He even shared to me, some times back in their younger days, people would mistake them to being twins or siblings haha. His uncle is with his wife and their three children.

Everyone had a great time splashing water in the salty water of the sea. My daughter Yashfeen also enjoyed the swim wearing her favorite swimsuit. She even tried to catch a little fish with my husband's cousin. They were able to catch some but I told them to release it as it will die if they keep it out from the water. Gladly the agreed and freed the poor fish.

It was a meaningful and one of a kind bonding with my husband's family. A sort of reunion too between me and my roommate whom I have not met for more than 4 years. My husband also was reunited with his favorite uncle, who's his best friend back then.

Hopefully soon, next year during class vacation we can have another visit to his family. With our youngest son then. We are now a family of four. I'm sure his family will be very happy to see another family member in person for the first time. They have met the baby already but only through video calls. So meeting our baby physically for the first would be a wonderful experience for everyone in the family.

That's all for today. Thanks for reading this far. Til my next post!
