Christmas season is the best season to be with family and loved ones. It is the jolliest season where everyone gets the chance to reunite with family and relatives living far and abroad. As for me, I have one of the best Christmas celebration this year.
To begin with, we bought all the things we needed for our Christmas dinner at Bogo City, which was a three minute to an hour drive from my hometown which is Caduawan, Tabogon, Cebu.
Before we bought all the things we needed, we ate at our favorite fast food chain. Then, we bought shoes which were Christmas gifts from my mother for my partner and my son.
Christmas is indeed a season of giving and luckily for these two, they received their Christmas gifts from my mother. As for me, although I did not received any physical gift, the gift of stable work, the gift of good health, and the gift of complete family is more than enough for me.
After we bought all the things we needed, we then went home since my brother and my partner prepared the pork belly meat we needed for our lechon belly which we will be eating on our Noche Buena.
Noche Buena is the Christmas dinner we will be having on December 24 at 12:00 midnight. Wherein no one is allowed to touch and taste all the foods when the clock hasn’t struck 12:00 midnight yet.
That is one thing I always look forward every Christmas season, the Noche Buena, having dinner with the complete family, enjoying the meals and enjoying each others company.
Few hours before the Noche Buena at 12:00 midnight, we were all so busy with the food preparations.

DECEMBER 24,2024
They seasoned our 8 kilogram meat with some herbs, they also added soy sauce. Then, for the pork belly meat to remain stable while they are grilling it, they tied it with some small rope. They had so much fun while doing it.

For our viands, we had lechon belly, bam-i or Visayan pancit, and some garlic butter shrimps. For our dessert, we had torta,
mango float and fruit salad.
Christmas is always the time for us to be reunited as a family. My dad came home all the way from Germany. I also came home all the way from Tuburan. It was such a wholesome feeling being able to be surrounded by people you love. Plus, we have Uno, my adopted dog. What a Merry Christmas indeed!
We all the foods we prepared during our Noche Buena and we shared so many stories and fun memories. It was the best way to celebrate Christmas.
DECEMBER 25,2024
On the actual day of Christmas, December 25,2024, we decided to go to the beach since we still had a lot of leftovers from our Noche Buena.
This is a photo of me, my partner, my mother, my grandmother and my aunts who came with us to the beach.
I really love going to the beach, the sound of the waves, the breeze of the air just gives me so much relaxation and it is such a stress reliever after a long day at work.
We also had a couple bottles of beer with my cousins which was so much fun, just like the old days when we were not yet that busy at work.
After going to the beach, I visited my other cousin since we will be attending a birthday party.
Yes, my friend’s birthday is on December 25,2024, the same date as Christmas. Since she is one of my closest friends, we traveled from Bogo City to Medellin to meet her and celebrate her birthday with her.
I love that this Christmas season, I am surrounded by my family and friends who truly matter to me. With that, I am grateful enough for the blessings all year long.
