We are celebrating... and there are two

One of the Venezuelan customs rooted in our culture is to celebrate one more day of life, since we were children and despite the shortage we look for ways to surprise our loved ones when they have a birthday, this time, we have two birthday boys, my youngest son and my niece.

We had the habit of doing this celebration with the grandchildren, there was a bit of nostalgia because they left our country to the United States a year ago and we still miss them, so our closest family circle was reduced but we still bought a small cake not to miss an important date for us as a family.

He didn't have all the luxuries but love and affection are never lacking, so with our few resources we bought that gray sweater he is wearing and this little cake to the sound of happy birthday and then we tasted its rich flavor accompanied by prayers of thanksgiving to God for the future of this birthday boy.

The other birthday was my niece's, a little girl who grew up with her cousins, she is there for everyone and if you need help, just type in her mobile number and she will surely try to help where she can, yes... that's her, also training as a mother.

We laughed for a while because capturing an image was difficult with her little one crying hehehehe, she commented, before my images on camera were very cool, now, I have to wipe my sweat all the time because of the dynamics of controlling her little baby... well daughter, welcome to the world of moms hehehehe.

She is very jovial and has friends that appreciate her, this cake is a gift from one of those friends that in moments like this, know how to make themselves felt, this celebration was also something intimate, only the closest loved ones but even so, I am sure it was filled with lots of love from the attendees, I regret not having captured the image of the delicious hot dogs we ate to celebrate.

What better way to strengthen the bonds between family and friends than to celebrate a birthday? Although for some cultures an extra day of life is normal and insignificant, for us it is an excellent opportunity to create meaningful memories and reinforce self-esteem.
