Spend Joyfully

We are so busy finding our living that we forgot to enjoy our living.

It was a plain and ordinary afternoon. I don't even have the plans to go outside from the house to get some rest from the very busy day of washing our clothes. After doing my chores, I looked with my Mama and I saw the boredom from her. Maybe, it was just my imagination that my mother got bored . I was moved with pity and I ask her to go out and eat out for pizza so that she can go out from the house and see another place other than home. She gladly accepted the offer.

One of the reasons I offered my mother a snacks because I realized that almost of her saved money were almost spent in our basic needs such as food, rice , electric bill and LPG or liquified petroleum gas. She was not able to enjoy her money. One of the purposes of that savings was to put a door and close the area in our comfort room because she was afraid of the snake she had seen in our CR. The money was almost gone and the money was spent all of the basic necessities of life and unforeseen expenses because the person I contacted to work for the door in our comfort room was still having a job and he was not available that time.

That ordinary and plain afternoon was converted into an escape to the routines of my mother who are always watching her cellphone. I just wanted to break that routine from her that. I was happy it was a success! I just felt happy for Mama, I and her grandchildren tasted food out from her saving. She will be motivated to save again if given the opportunity and monetary resources. At least, she spent something not just for obligations but something for fun. I firmly believe that eating pizza outside the house with the family members will give a long lasting effect most especially for the kids. It will add up and compiled those moment in their memory box when they grow up. They will remember that place where we ate the pizza together every time they will pass that area.

The funny thing about it was the person we contacted before messaged me and he was already available. To make the story short, he came into our house. He made the "Pididos" the things that we should buy and starting working in our comfort room in the least expected time of the week. I let him do it (working in the comfort room) because I also wanted to finish this due to the snake and also when the rainy day comes, it was very cold and we can feel the raindrops (salisi kaayo) inside it.

If you wonder where do I get the expenses to buy for the materials, for the labor, and for the snacks, then I was reminded that I have also my savings for another purpose. I was saving that for my Bukidnon trip or Indonesia Conference. Since, it was needed at that moment I did not hesitate to open it. I was amazed by the providence of the Lord! 🙂 It seems that I was saving it for that purpose. Why? It is because my total expenses was eleven thousands and one hundred pesos (11 100) and my total savings was eleven thousand six hundred and fifty pesos. Isn't it amazing? Truly amazing!:)

Never estimate the providence of the Lord! If you spend your money in eating then eat happily. Who knows? He will bless you more than of what you are spending as long as it will make you happy and you do not sin it for. Go for it! God wanted us to be truly happy also. Just bear in mind that our God is a generous God.
