A Funny Mistake (and Missed Fireworks) in Danao City Lights

Hi everyone! Here's my entry on opening lights. I know it's quite a delay, but I just want to share this with you because there's a hilarious situation that me and my friends can't stop thinking of.

So it was December 16, the date of opening lights in Danao City, Cebu, at the boardwalk. Me, Kate, and Melchor decided to watch the opening lights, but for personal reasons, me and Melchor arrived first at the Gaisano Danao, where we decided to meet up. Kate is running a little late, so we decided to go to Ate Carms because she was nearby.

Shes in civics because her boyfriend has a play that day and since we have to pay for the journal book. When we arrived there, the game hadn't started yet, so we chitchatted for a while, and then when the game started, it was such a coincidence that Kate texted me that she had arrived at the gaisano. So me and Melchor went back to the Gaisano to pick up Kate since she was sick, and she said she still needs to pay Ate Carmela for the journal book. That's why we went back to the Civic.

When we were heading there, the time was almost 6 that we were rushing, and so when we arrived at the civic kate, we just paid for the carms. When we were heading out going to the boardwalk, the fireworks started, and we missed the opening. Here's the fun part: Kate said that she knew a short cut in that area, and if we took that way, we would arrive near the boardwalk. So me and Melchor agreed to her suggestion, but when we arrived at the short cut, she said she couldn't remember which way we should take, and let me remind you, the place was quite eerie because it was quiet and dark.

We searched the area to find the way to the path that she said, but what we found is that it was locked, and because we were getting chills and afraid, we ran back to the way that we took. We were laughing as we headed back when one of the drivers of the sikad said that we could find a path if we took a turn left, but he warned us that it was a dark path. So we went back one more time, but we could find the path that he told us, and because of the eeriness that we felt again, we ran off back, and we were laughing because of what we experienced.

Since we failed to take the shortcut, we just took the original path, and since the opening and fireworks are done, we just take our time going there. When we arrived at the boardwalk, there were so many people that it was hard going in there. When we were inside, we took pictures in every corner of the decorations. After we took some pictures, we decided to eat some food because we were hungry.

As we were finding food to eat, We saw an artist but we didn't know his name but we wanted to take a picture with him. We couldn't get any pictures with him though because there were a lot of people who would love to take a pictures with him.

So we went back on finding food to eat and we settled on a rice with sisig on it cause it was like 60 pesos. After that we went to find a seat and as we were finding a seat, I could see families having the best time of their lives.

They were having picnics either sitting on the grass or in the car. I was kind of jealous because we could never do that because of overlapping schedules and like they work for paying our bills. For those people who have a complete family, I would suggest cherishing it all, because not all people have that, and some people are jealous of that.

After that me and my friends decided to end our night with going to the church to pray for our defense at that time. We were praying that we could passed our defense and we did! Our prayers and hard work pays off.
