Love, family, romance and health: New Year's Eve Wishes
So what are the pillars of our happiness as human beings? From my perspective, they are the ones I have chosen to title this post. Everything good or not so good, that happens to me in life, sooner or later ends up having repercussions in some way on my family, on the capacity to show love that I can (or cannot) provide; of course on the quality of health of the human beings I love, and on my romance with the man I love... I suppose, in one way or another, something similar happens to you too...
Yesterday, New Year's Day... We've left behind another one, and that's 25 in this new millennium. A little wiser, a little older, also a lot happier and with learnings and lessons that we can only experience through the passage of time. Otherwise, it would be virtually impossible to learn one of the most important lessons of all: to value people for who I am, not for what they are worth. Yesterday, as I watched the last hours of the night of 2024 come to their inevitable end, I couldn't help but think how grateful and happy I am.
I've been blessed to be in good health and so have the people close to me. I have learned the renewed value of a child's eyes, and how they become happy with simple things. My daughter is a child who represents the very definition of joy, and by my side I have a man who gives everything for me and who has learned to be my true pillar. Personally, I have also learned to stabilise my emotions and to master everything that doesn't add up for me. Lessons that the only thing that brings to my existence is quality and improvement, and that becomes growth and wisdom.
2024 was a year (I still find it difficult to express myself in the past tense) of changes but also of self-recognition. I knew how to give myself value as a woman, a mother and a human being. My daughter, as a consequence, also discovered that her mother could be even better than she had known. And it is not only about possessions or material goods (although at work, materially speaking, I am not complaining) but she has learned that we women are also symbols of strength and struggle. I love to be her centre of inspiration, although, here between you and me, I am a little afraid of not living up to it. She is the one person who strikes a certain terror in my heart; I do not wish to disappoint her in any way....
As I sigh, I remember what I lived through, applaud what I learned and sigh again (although less anxious) knowing that what I could control and improve I did, and what I couldn't, well, no way.... My family is the reason for many of the things I do. My baby and my boyfriend are the first things that come to my mind when something wonderful happens to me, and they also represent my refuge when there are grey and challenging days... We all deserve to find the meaning of a family and its security, no matter how it is shaped... .... In the end, it's only 365 days in life that are behind us, as we do a little introspection and evaluate what time has done with us, and what we have done with time. Love, family, romance, and health. Always in my life.
