Witnessing two hearts knit together in Love

A wedding is the most memorable event that could happened to every women.

Greetings to everyone in Hive, it's me @chimegipamus sharing my experience again this week.

My old friend visited me a month ago to invite me to her wedding. I was one of the principal sponsors together with my hubby. We were friends fifteen years ago and we were together during our ups and downs. We seldom see each other yet the bond and the closeness we have was nurtured through social media.

I have known her for so long, she was also with me during our wedding. We were also together during the time of her downfall. I witnessed how she was broken and how she rose from brokenness. I wonder why she wants me to be one of her sponsors. (loL)

The day comes so fast that we have to travel almost an hour to her wedding location. It was raining as we were traveling since the tropical storm Ferdie was on its way. But the weather could not stop the joining of two hearts. We arrived at the venue by 1 pm, got some make-up from her make-up artist, did a hairdo, and changed my attire.

The place is so relaxing while having the time to tour around the place. Though it was windy the rain stopped and a little sunshine came out to celebrate with us. It was a garden wedding but due to a tropical storm, the ceremony will be inside the function hall. Everyone got ready as the time struck 3 pm.

While waiting, the entourage together with the bridegroom took pictures together. When the bride was ready she also take a photo shots with her bridesmaids.

The moment we've been waiting for was when everyone lined up to walk down the aisle as the music started to serenade. The ceremony starts with a prayer and then the groom walks down the aisle. By the way, she married an American Navy. Then the principal sponsors started to walk by partner, followed by the entourage.

The songs continued to serenade as the bride's parents walked into the middle of the aisle. Then the pastor let us all stand as the bride started to walk towards her parents. Then they accompany her towards her groom. In the wedding culture, the father gives his daughter's hand to the groom and the groom will take it and show respect to the parents taking their hands on his forehead.

The groom wipes away his tears as he sees the bride walking towards him. The ceremony started as they exchanged each other's vows, then the pastor gave a message. After the message, the ring and its vows were given. Some sponsors were wiping their eyes as they heard their vows. I always remember the day of my wedding whenever I witnessed like this.

The time has come when the pastor pronounces them as husband and wife and that he may now kiss his bride. Everyone cheered as they kissed each other. ♥️♥️ Then they marched towards us as everyone congratulated them.

After the ceremony, we waited a few more minutes as they had their pictures. Everyone was so excited to get near the newlyweds. When everything is done we settle on our tables to enjoy the symptoms foods prepared by the newlyweds. The reception started with the welcoming of the bride and groom together with their entourage. Slicing of cakes and wine and some gave a message to the couple.

After eating the couple had their first dance and people came to pin money on their wedding suite. Music still serenade us as the program continues. It was a wonderful night though rain continued to pour.

We did not finish the whole program since it was late already and we had to travel back home. We said our goodbyes to the couple and thanked them for a wonderful wedding event.
Then we headed home and arrived safe.
