Special moments are best shared with our families.
September 18, 1954, the youngest of eight siblings was born in Kanghumawod Dumanjug Cebu.
Hello, fellow hives it's me @chimegipamus in the house sharing our special preparation for my mother-in-law's birthday.
My husband and her sister will plan to throw a simple surprise for their mother's birthday and I was the one to prepare everything since they were working. From the food to the car trunk decoration, we figured out some budgets.
A day before the celebration I purchased everything and saw that all I needed was purchased. Then in the afternoon, I called my worker to help me prepare the car trunk decoration first. We clean first then we put up some decorations. Curtains was put up to cover the seats. Then we put some flowers on it.
Then we put the birthday banner, the lights and some balloons on it. We decided not to put air on some of the balloons so they would not puffed while traveling. Then a final touch was made.
The next day in the afternoon I was preparing all the ingredients for the food. I cooked spaghetti, children's cordon bleu, lumpia, and buttered garlic shrimp. Then I waited for my husband to arrive from work. I took a little rest and a nap because I was so tired of cooking.
Then we traveled to their house for almost two hours. We arrived there by 7 pm already. My sister-in-law kept calling us we are we so she could bring my mother-in-law to the place we parked. There was no street light so the surprise will be more exciting. Then we hide in the front seat and the surprise begins. She didn't know that we were coming so my sister-in-law convinced her to come with her. They were bringing flashlight because they had to pass on the cornfields.
My sister-in-law let her pass on the other way and she was wondering if it was our car so we went out and greeted her. She was very happy that we arrived because she has no idea that we were coming. Then we let her open the car trunk and with so much surprise she was outspoken.
We sing a birthday song and hand her a bouquet. Then we let her sit on the car and took a picture. She was astonished by what she saw though it was just a simple decoration. Together we bring all the foods and some of the decorations in the house as they also prepare some food.
The best part of the birthday food was the native chicken soup. The air was filled with birthday songs and greetings then we pray together and enjoy the food. We let her blow her
birthday candles too.
Some of my husband's relatives came and celebrated with us but we forgot to take pictures together. It was already 7 pm and everyone was hungry.
We didn't stay longer for we had to go home back to Naga. A little talk and fellowship then at 9 pm we start driving home. My mother-in-law was very happy on her special day. We went home that night and arrived safely in our house bringing joy in our hearts as we give love to our mother.
May this experience that we have encouraged us to show love and respect to our dear mothers even in a simple way. Thank you for reaching this far and for always supporting my stories. If you have time kindly reblog and give some love and upvote. God bless us all and see you next time.♥️♥️
