Hello hivers! Allow me to introduce myself again, @amishu, and welcome to my blog!🌷
Please take a moment to read my blog, where you will discover some insightful information and lessons on my next adventure!🤗
In our busy lives, it's easy to forget the importance of spending quality time with family. Recently, I realized how valuable these moments are when my aunt planned a last-minute trip to Simala Shrine. This unexpected adventure reminded me that family time is not just about being together; it's about creating lasting memories and strengthening our bonds.✨
The Blessed Virgin Mary❤️
It was another spontaneous adventure for our family, this time prompted by my aunt's last-minute plan. With her upcoming trip to Australia, she wanted to visit Simala Shrine to pray for a safe flight and to buy souvenirs for her colleagues. We set off around 9 AM, catching a bus to Simala. The journey was smooth, and the excitement in the air was clear.
When we reached Simala, we took a tricycle to the shrine. As expected, the place was full of people since it was Sunday. Many were there to attend mass, pray, and participate in the "halok sa birhen" ritual, which is a respected tradition. Before entering the shrine, my aunt bought bracelets from vendors outside because they were cheaper than those inside, and the quality was the same.
We joined the line to enter the shrine. Even though I had been to Simala many times, I was still amazed by its beautiful view and detailed design.😍
Each visit felt like the first because the place was always so impressive. As we walked up the stairs, I took many photos and videos of the stunning scenery.🫶🏻
The line for "halok sa birhen" was long, as usual, but we waited patiently. This wait was part of our sacrifice for Mama Mary. The line moved steadily, bringing us closer to the shrine. Inside, the atmosphere was peaceful and spiritual.
The church was filled with letters of answered prayers from visitors, each telling a heartwarming story. Many letters spoke of miraculous healings and academic successes attributed to the Blessed Virgin Mary.📿
Lost in the beauty of the church, I didn't realize it was almost our turn for the ritual. When our moment came, we prayed sincerely, thanking Mama Mary for the blessings we had received.
After our prayers, we quickly left to make room for other visitors waiting for their turn.🤲🏻
Outside, we took more pictures, wanting to capture every angle of the beautiful Simala Shrine. The place was not just spiritually enriching but also visually stunning. After our little photo session, we felt hungry and searched for a place to eat. We found a simple but inviting eatery that served delicious food, perfectly satisfying our hunger.
As we ate, we talked about the day's events and the beauty of the shrine. The food was comforting, and the atmosphere was relaxed, making it the perfect end to our visit. Once we finished eating, we decided it was time to head home, our hearts full from the day’s experience.
Our visit to Simala Shrine was not just a trip but a day of faith and family bonding. Despite being a last-minute plan, it turned out to be a memorable day. We left feeling uplifted, our faith strengthened, and our bellies full. It was a day well spent, full of blessings and gratitude.☺️
These spontaneous trips often turn out to be the most memorable, and this visit to Simala Shrine was no exception. It reminded us of the importance of family, faith, and taking moments to appreciate the blessings in our lives. My aunt’s upcoming trip to Australia will be in our prayers, and we are thankful for the opportunity to come together as a family in such a special place.
As we journeyed back home, we felt content and peaceful. Our hearts were light, our spirits high, and our faith renewed. This trip to Simala Shrine will always hold a special place in our hearts, a reminder of our family’s bond and our shared faith.
Thank you for joining us on this journey. I hope our experience inspires you to cherish spontaneous moments with your loved ones and to find beauty and peace in every journey you take. Stay tuned for more stories and adventures from our little family. Until next time, take care and cherish every moment.💗
As I draw to a close, let us never forget that supporting one another is what will always make us stronger.
