Possibly one of the most accessible robots for any individual or a family group is the one responsible for leaving the house clean and sparkling. Vacuum robots have been on sale in electronics stores or supermarkets for some time now, and they tend to have a very affordable price. With the advancements in technology, they have managed to innovate a lot, bringing substantial improvements that make you no longer have to worry about cleaning, or at least, have a high-performance assistant.
One of the domestic robots that was present at CES 2025 was the Dreame X50 Ultra, which is very complete in all its functionalities, but stands out for the recent additions that have been made to it. The most important one to consider is that it can return to the base where it will automatically recharge the battery. It will also have access to a map of the house interiors, which detects the degree of dirt to put more effort into the daily task. That's how smart the presented model is.
What I find interesting is that when there is such a prominent innovation in a robot model, it is more likely that other brands will need to delve deeper into their technology to keep up with their competitors, eventually incorporating it into the following series and becoming a standard. On the other hand, the issue of costs could be reduced with increased demand, with the possibility of lowering costs without affecting performance and capabilities. I believe this is an observation that I have noticed in all existing technology today.
At first glance, the robot looks like any other, but inside it has some things that somehow give it an advantage over the rest. One of them is a brush that manages to reach those difficult areas, such as some corners where dirt accumulates. What it will do is attract the dirt towards the central area, where we could consider the main brushes to be located. But there seems to be an extra function, which is the ability to climb small steps or uneven surfaces, for example, to cross the opening of a window. In this case, one of the little legs extends automatically, with the possibility of going through these steps that could be up to 6 centimeters high.
As for the exterior of the equipment, it is indeed at the forefront of this era. At the front, it has a camera that will allow it to calculate the spaces it moves through, but also something amazing is that with that information, it can synchronize with a map of what is called "CleanGenius." The bumper it incorporates is ideal for preventing damage to the equipment because anything can happen. We can also find a QR code on the front to synchronize our robot with the application. Furthermore, we have indicators such as the Wi-Fi one marked with an LED light and a reset button in case something malfunctions and the robot needs to be restored.
When it comes to the navigation of the robot vacuum, as we mentioned before, everything forms a necessary set for a fundamental synergy. The camera to be able to interpret the interior spaces and the obstacle-free path, which also takes center stage alongside the power of AI.
This map is built as the robot navigates the spaces, although it is a good recommendation to clear the area so that the map is created without potential obstacles, which translates into areas where the robot could ignore those obstacles where dirt could accumulate. The inclusion of a structured light sensor is a great addition, as it communicates with one of the retractable arms when going through narrow spaces, such as under the bed. This sensor also communicates with the camera and an LED, allowing its operation to access places with considerably low light levels.
The power of the device is truly intense. Sufficient to clean the house without any inconvenience. Equipped with a suction power of 20,000 Pa, one can choose from different suction levels: quiet, standard, turbo, and max. This allows for a wide range of cleaning modes, such as vacuuming, mopping, doing both tasks at the same time, and more. The CleanGenius mode simplifies this in a truly optimal way, as it manages to use water, power, and battery at their most fair and necessary levels.
Autonomy is another characteristic that contributes to its performance. Starting from about 6,400 mAh, with minimal power, it is possible for the robot to do two cleaning rounds, while at maximum power, it is estimated to work for about 90 minutes before returning to the base, with a remaining 15% battery. In my opinion, this is more than enough. Especially if it is a house of normal dimensions.
The base not only serves as a charging center but also as a water supply reservoir for mopping. Furthermore, it has a compartment to accumulate dirty water, and another that contains a bag to store the dirt that has been vacuumed.
As you can see, it is a very comprehensive option that changes everything completely. Such an assistant is very useful, especially when you are away from home and need to come back to a home free of any traces of dust you may encounter. A great cleaning assistant.

Ufff.
It really is an interesting piece of equipment, and that little detail that it can climb steps or uneven surfaces really adds a lot more value and interest on the part of the buyer.
Technology is already being applied more regularly to things that we used to see as big machines, and now they are much better, this is the real evolution of technology.

It has certainly evolved a lot! And it will continue to do so and will also be accessible to everyone as it becomes a normal part of the market.
Excelente post, me encantaría tener un modelo de esos en algún momento.
Están buenos y son funcionales realmente. Aunque este modelo es algo caro, pero hay otros muchos más accesibles. Gracias por pasar.
