Construyendo en Los Sims 4

¡Saludos, queridos amigos gamers! Hoy vengo a mostrarles algo, que en todos los años que tengo jugando Los Sims, y aunque cueste creerlo, no era lo que más me gustaba y me costaba un montón: construir.

Greetings, dear fellow gamers! Today I'm here to show you something that, in all my years of playing The Sims, and although it's hard to believe, wasn't my favorite thing to do and was really difficult for me: building.

Los Sims es el juego de arquitectura que todos prefieren, en mi caso, no fue así. Siempre sentía que mis casas quedaban exageradamente grandes o muy pequeñas en donde no me cabía nada, todo estaba atravesado y mis sims debían dar unas vueltas. Además de eso, tenía cero estilo artístico, en general parecían una caja con techo, hecha nada más para albergar gente y aumentar mis habilidades. Pero desde hace poco, he empezado a crear algunas cositas que en general están bien hechas, pero que no me convencen del todo. Así que hice mi lista de prioridades y, con base en eso, empecé a diseñar esta casa: Mi Oasis.

The Sims is everyone's favorite architecture game, but in my case, that wasn't true. I always felt that my houses were either too big or too small, with nothing fitting inside, everything was crammed together, and my Sims had to walk around in circles. On top of that, I had zero artistic style. In general, they looked like boxes with roofs, made solely to house people and increase my skills. But recently, I've started to create some things that are generally well done, but I'm not entirely convinced. So I made my list of priorities and, based on that, I started designing this house: My Oasis.

La lista que tengo es la siguiente:

Todas estas cosas me hacen falta porque ya tengo mi pequeña familia amantes de las olas viviendo en un solar un poco más pequeño. Y aunque este solar no tiene una salida directa a la playa, era eso o la piscina, así que me decidí por la piscina, pero la playa está sumamente cerca, así que no será un problema para mí y mi unidad doméstica.

The list I have is as follows:

I need all these things because I already have my little wave-loving family living on a slightly smaller lot. And although this lot doesn't have direct access to the beach, it was either that or the pool, so I decided on the pool, but the beach is extremely close, so it won't be a problem for me and my household.

El solar que escogí, ya tenía una casa construida, que en realidad era un barco abandonado, y eso quedó en el sótano, este mismo sótano lo voy a rediseñar y allí construiré dos habitaciones, el gym, el salón de usos múltiples, dos baños y un estudio.

En el piso principal, que es el del medio, tiene varias cosas, la sala, la cocina, un baño y el invernadero, además del patio con piscina. También agregué algo que me encanta: un espacio para colocar un pequeño negocio en el que venderé ramos de flores.

Y en el piso superior, la habitación matrimonial, con baño propio, un walking closet y una terraza gigante.

The plot I chose already had a house built on it, which was actually an abandoned boat, and that remained in the basement. I'm going to redesign this basement and build two bedrooms, a gym, a multipurpose room, two bathrooms, and a study there.

The main floor, which is the middle floor, has several things: the living room, the kitchen, a bathroom, and the greenhouse, as well as the patio with a pool. I also added something I love: a space to set up a small business where I will sell bouquets of flowers.

And on the top floor, there is the master bedroom with its own bathroom, a walk-in closet, and a giant terrace.

Aunque no parezca, para que empiece a tomar forma hay que invertir unas cuantas horas. Yo primero voy creando las habitaciones basado en recuadro principal que hago, y luego empiezo a agregar detalles como puertas y ventanas. Así como ir rediseñando a medida que vamos avanzando. Por ejemplo, a la hora de empezar a llenar cada habitación, generalmente me toca cambiar los tamaños y las posiciones de las ventanas, o los tamaños de las habitaciones, todo depende de lo que necesitemos.

Although it may not seem like it, it takes a few hours to get it started. I first create the rooms based on the main box I make, and then I start adding details such as doors and windows. I also redesign as we go along. For example, when I start filling each room, I usually have to change the sizes and positions of the windows, or the sizes of the rooms, depending on what we need.

Y así fue quedando al final mi casita. En un próximo post les mostraré cada habitación diseñada por mí y tal vez un gameplay con mi unidad doméstica, aunque aún no se han mudado a la casa. Allí podrán observar todo más de cerca y detallar mi diseño de interiores a ver que les parece.
