What's the best Redmi 13? - Helping a friend (Again)

Since I got my Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus I've been keeping a close eye on Xiaomi's Redmi 13 line, and while as I've said on several occasions, I find this model naming system quite confusing, after having calmly analyzed several of the available devices, it turns out that things are much smarter than they appear.

While they all follow the same design philosophy, each one fits a different budget, something evident from the functions that each one has, as well as the quality and power level of its hardware. What does this mean? That if we don't have a lot of money and we need a modern phone that does the essentials, the base Redmi 13 will be enough, but its siblings on the "Note" side of things are progressively better.

Does this mean that the Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus is objectively better than the others? Yes, but no... since for many it would be questionable whether the higher price (Close to $400) justifies the number of improvements it has compared to the ordinary Pro (which can be obtained for less than $220 in its 4G version).

This was pretty obvious to me since I had the opportunity to give the regular “Pro” a try, taking advantage of the fact that a coworker was looking to upgrade his old Redmi 9 and for some reason thought I was the right one to help him.
We spent several days looking for alternatives and in the end we agreed that the standard Redmi Note 13 was the best option (At about $185 in its 8GB RAM and $215 ROM version), however, for better or worse, it turns out that said model was out of stock in the store, and if we wanted to leave it with a new phone, we had to settle for a lower version, or a higher one…

And the truth is that for only about $30 you can feel the difference, although both are very similar from a physical point of view after a deep review we began to notice the difference, The 13 Pro has a rear camera sensor very close to the one included in the Pro Plus, the refresh rate is higher and the edges of the screen are very thin. In fact, in terms of design I think it's the nicest of the entire line.

The 256GB storage is more than enough and its Mediatek processor guarantees fluidity for most tasks. And, although it doesn't include HyperOS by default (A recurring error of the Redmi 13 line) it is most likely that depending on the region you are in, the MIUI update is already available.

I did a couple of tests and made a couple of necessary adjustments to make the experience with it more pleasant, I removed the bloatware and updated the software.

The truth is that in terms of functionality and price it seems to me the best of the entire 13 line, especially if we take into account that the difference between this one and the Pro Plus is a slightly superior front camera, the screens with curved edges and a slightly faster processor. For everything else we are facing a solid mid-range with the Redmi Note 13 Pro 4G.
