My entry:
Slender-billed oriole (Oriolus tenuirostris) on a banyan tree. Quite recent picture, on March 12.
I was having a walk in a park in Bangkok taking images and "counting species" when this bird suddenly appeared.
I saw this species around a year ago on the same tree, and never before and after.
The banyan's fruits are tiny figs popular among birds, and that's what this oriole came for. Other bird species visit this tree too, some walk on the ground below eating fallen fruits. As for people, they have a Buddhist shrine by this tree - with a large Buddha and decorations.
It was pure luck. The bird "posed" for me for a while and disappeared.
The post about all bird species I saw in this park is here: I Counted 22 Bird Species in a Tiny Park in Bangkok
So glad to see you are back, thank you so much!🙂
I am glad too. 🙂 Thank you!
