THE HOUSE OF EYES ~ Feathered Friends - Show Me A Photo Contest Round 111

The last time BIRDHOUSES was the theme for #SMaP I decided to build one for the contest. We've got lots of birdfeeders around, but until yesterday we only had one birdhouse, the Lincoln Bedroom. Not one bird has ever decided to take up residency in the Lincoln Bedroom and I think I know why. They were afraid that a predator might stumble upon them before they realized what was going on.

This time around I decided to try to attract some birds, by providing them with a very safe environment. Hopefully, a happily married couple that is looking to start a family, will realize that this new birdhouse will keep a keen EYE on their young ones. As @farm-mom says, SAFETY FIRST.

I ask you, how can our #feathered #friends not feel safe with a sentry posted on every side of the birdhouse? These watchful eyes guard the back. It's always good to have someone watching your back!

These eyes are so piercing that I would dare any bird of prey to even fly by!

With the scowl on this watchman's face, I'd even think twice before approaching.

The Lincoln Bedroom looks a little chilly, maybe a penguin will move in?

That was a lot of fun gals. The big BIRDS of this awesome community, @melinda010100, @barbara-orenya, and @nelinovia make it all possible.

You are brilliant. 🙂👍
This house definetely is safe and with the eyes watching from everywhere predators have no chance. 😄
Maybe the Lincoln bedroom will be attractive after the snow melts. Hope you will have residents in both houses. They deserve nice families to raise their chicks there.

Birds nesting in both houses, wouldn't that be something. I guess we'll have to wait and see.

Have a splendid day my friend!

Fingers crossed. 🙂

Neat idea putting the eyes on the birdhouses. Hopefully residents with little ones hatching in the lovely houses you built for them.

Wao very great and impressive. The way you have made the mouth part of it looks very beautiful. You are absolutely right we love birds so much and we should make things like this for them because it is very cold there.

I think it was staring at me...🤣

Haha, that face just got me! And those watchful eyes!😄😄
What a cute birdhouse you made there. Hope our featheredfriends will have a long staying check in.😉
Best of luck for this week.

Thanks for stopping in.
Once the spring comes I hope to see lots of activity in the new bird house, it looks pretty safe to me.

Oh yah! Spring is coming. I am always mesmerized by the thought of from winter comes spring because In my country with only two seasons the wet and dry season, the feeling of the coldness in the morning followed by the early mornings of spring is like magic! I bet you will be busy again for many outdoor activities can be done.
On my side, well we are always busy regardless the season.😍😍

Although Winter is my least favorite season, we still try and get outside and stay busy.
Making Maple syrup, tending to our walnut plantation, and of course, shoveling snow keeps us from getting cabin fever.

Where we live, most folks say we have five seasons, with the extra season being the muddy season which we're in right now.

Oh really there is a bonus season... Haha.
Wow! Making your own maple syrup and having a walnut plantation! That is awesome! What do you do with the walnuts? Walnuts here are super expensive because I don't think it grows here in my weather, hmmmm not sure but they are pretty expensive and mostly you can buy them in the duty free shops.
For us we have a mango and cashew orchard plus some avocados, bananas and coconuts. Enough to keep us busy as well.😍😍
Hope to see your walnut trees soon, hope you will tag me if ever you will make a post on them because ai have never seen a walnut tree in my life before!😁😄🤭🤭🤭
funny, when I was young one of my wish or dream was to be able to touch and experience real snow, Shoveling snow I would love to try as well!!

But my mother-in-law and my sister-in-law who lives in the states told me, oh my you will just love snow on the first few days but after you will dislike it because you can't really do much outside because of the cold..... Haha.... We'll talk about dreaming of snow!😄😄😄

Have a great week ahead and you got to put on your mud boots!!😊👍

Sorry for this late reply, but we had most of our family visiting for the past several days.
We harvest the walnuts every year and enjoy eating them straight, mixed in with different loaves of bread that @farm-mom makes, but the best is adding some maple syrup to them and pouring it over ice cream.
