We met this bird in the south of Argentina, not far from Mount Fitzroy. But I have some difficulties with determining its species. It seems to be one of the sparrows ... or not? Somebody knows? And if so, which one? In any case, this baby is quite cute. Such a disheveled, rounded, he looks like a feathery ball with a beak and a tail.
It's better to watch the photo in high resolution.

Definitely not a sparrow maybe in the titmouse family? He"s adorable anyway, looks like he was posing for you.
Thanks for trying to help and guess! In the comments above, we found that the bird is still from the Passerellidae family, so he is a sparrow - not ordinary, but mountainous South American) It is always such a difficult task for me to identify the species of birds.
I did a little investigating also and found the same thing to my surprise. It is so interesting to see such diversity in the sparrow family. I have song sparrows living in all my bushes and trees around my house, I just love them.
👍 I agree, this is really interesting!
Look up rufous collared sparrow (Andean Sparrow) and see if you think that's it. I love his orange collar. It's a beautiful little bird. Thanks for sharing him with the Feathered Friends Community. I have not seen a photo of him here before, so it's rather a treat!

You are right. It is the rufous collared sparrow.

I used the app Obsidentify and it has a 100% certain match
Great shots! It looks like he just got out of the shower 😀@sharker
I have never used that app. I'll take a look!
Thank you very much! Hmm, I think I need to look at this app and put it on my phone if it always identify bird species so well!
Yes, exactly - from the shower and dried his hair with a hairdryer, so that it became voluminous and fluffy! :)
So you have an app for the sound and one for the pic..? 😊How useful is that !
Yes! I'll make another blog for this app soon ☺️
Thanks for tip and thanks a lot for your help! I would never have found it among the birds when Google did not help me. How did you do it? :)
Google lens knew what it was!
It's a shame but I didn't even know about Google Lens a few days ago :D
