HI Everyone,
Happy Feathered Friday!
I hope you are all very well and making the most out of your days running up to Christmas.
Here are some photos I captured of a Great Tit. I read recently in National Geographic that it is thought the Great Tit is evolving a bigger beak to be able to feed from bird feeders. I never put food out for birds myself but I am sure if I was in a colder climate with snow fall I would be inclined to.... lil cuties!

Stay Wild!

Evolutionary facts like that (the tit's beak growth) light me up! Almost as much as their zesty beauty.
This guy reminds me a bit of a racing car, with his showy stripes, lol.
(With thanks to @ats for his helpful, and hilarious, comment.)
Happy Friday to you, too, @sallybeth23.
thank you very much.
Life has been hectic these days!
How nice to be observing animals in the forest and nature everyday!
I just went to the balcony to hand-feed these birds.😃
Wonderful photos and interesting evolution of these little beauties! Thanks for posting to the #featheredfriends community
He is adorable!
The great tit is a ferocious beast who won't shy away from cannibalism, cracking skulls and brain eating. they are cute though. Btw you can sex great tit by the ventral black stripe- thick stripe = male, thin stripe = female, this speciemen is clearly male.
