It's Christmas time, and many people probably associate the holiday with turkey.
Today, I'm thinking about the peacock, a resplendent bird that, unlike the typical turkey some people serve, makes us pause for a moment to admire it.
I pause along the way, without knowing why, as I watch these birds in rapt attention. I think about those who are lost behind their colors, behind that ability to feign beauty, but who, when they open their mouths, express the opposite of beautiful; I think about those who do not have the freedom to fly or who simply choose not to...

I think of those who subject the other individual to their shadow, of the downcast gaze of one who loses their color...
And then I decide to see them with different eyes, the eyes of someone who chooses to embrace the colors, the freedom, the love, the beauty...
It's a day when I hope everyone smiles, is loved, and loves with the same transparent authenticity.
May each of you receive a hug of light!

Es plena navidad y quizá muchas personas relacionen la fecha con el pavo.
Hoy, pienso en el Pavo Real, reluciente ave que, diferente al típico pavo que algunos llevan a la mesa, nos hace detener por un instante para contemplarle.
Hago una pausa en el camino, sin saber por qué, mientras observo absorto a estas aves, pienso en los que se pierden tras sus colores, tras esa propiedad de simular belleza pero que, cuando abren la boca, lo que expresan es opuesto a lo hermoso; pienso en los que no tienen la libertad de volar o que sencillamente deciden no hacerlo...

Pienso en los que someten al otro individuo a su sombra, en la mirada gacha de quien pierde sus colores...
Y entonces decido verles con otra mirada, la mirada de quien decide quedarse con los colores, la libertad, el amor, lo hermoso...
Es un día en el que espero todos sonrían, sean amados y amen con la misma autenticidad transparente.
