Nimble, restless and stocky birds. It is a pleasure to watch these birds. Fortunately, they are not afraid of people, even wild birds. I mean, there are nuthatches that live near people, in parks and groves, where they are fed directly from the hand. And there are real wild nuthatches living in forests, so they are not afraid of people either.

Thanks to their very tenacious claws, they are able to move along the tree in any direction, even upside down.
This is how they store food. It happens like this: first they find food, then they cut it, that is, if it is an insect, then they tear off its wings, if a nut or seed, they get rid of the shell and peel. Further, they already find a hole in the bark of a tree where they put food in reserve. Sometimes they hide it. The most interesting thing is that in most cases they remember where they hid the food.
