Seabirds at play.

Popping over the incoming waves on a waste water channel.

The tide was coming in and as the waves struck the channel the birds were hoping that they could snatch some food from the water splashes.
Not with much success though, but one can never win if one doesn't try.

This was the start, as the birds landed first on the promenade bulwark before they popped down to the channel.

Like real gymnasts, they launched themselves into the air every time that a wave strikes the channel and it was lovely to watch them at play.
Not one was struck full on by a breaking wave as they presented some real dexterity here today.
Always keeping an eye on the sea to ensure that they can pop over a big incoming wave.

Finally, this metal artwork on the promenade grabbed my attention. It is a horse's head and it rounds this post off beautifully.

Every time that we visit the ocean there is something on the go and it depends on what one is looking at. Yes, there are many people swimming and also all of the other normal sights at the ocean, but I always look out for something special like the birds playing today.
In fact, I doubt that they were playing as they were searching for food, but I prefer to call it playing as that is what it looked like to me.

The lesson here is that we must become more active in the things that we do, and I realize that no one can jump up and down behind their PC, but we have to find a way to stay active, else our health will suffer.
So set aside some time again to take a walk or to follow some exercise routines in order to stay active, for the sake of your health.
