Two magpies on the bank by the river looking for food

I often walk this path along the river. Very comfortably. It shortens the path to the forest and allows you to see various birds. who come soda to drink water and find food.
This time, I almost accidentally bumped into two forty. They sat on the shore almost at the water's edge. Apparently after drinking water, they decided to look for food for themselves.

The wind was just blowing in my direction and they did not hear the sound of my steps. I stopped in time. I had my camera ready. True, the coastal bush prevented me from finding a good angle. It was not necessary to move slowly to a better position.
I saw one magpie stuck her head into a food bag, which was lying on the shore almost by the water. Apparently someone ate and threw it on the ground. The second forty at this time carefully examined everything around in order to warn about the danger in time. But they didn’t see me. True, the clicks of the camera shutter alerted them to the rhinestone.

They raised their heads and began to look where these sounds were coming from. I was not far away and they quickly examined me. Although I did not move and stood still, they still decided that I was a danger to them.
One magpie immediately flapped its wings and flew away. The second didn’t stay too long, apparently thinking that I’ll leave them food. Having received nothing, she also flew away.

I followed where they went and saw that they were sitting on a large lawn near the river. Since the path just passed by this lawn, I headed along it. Unfortunately, it was not possible to get close to these magpies this time. They constantly flew away as soon as I approached them.

One forty found something to eat. Grabbing food with its beak, she flew towards the bushes growing nearby. Apparently she was afraid that someone might take away the found food from her.
The second forty also followed her and sat in the bushes. She probably hoped that her friend would share the food with her.

But unfortunately she received nothing. After sitting a little on a bush branch, she flapped her wings and flew away.
