The starling sings among the branches of a tree

in Feathered Friends2 years ago

I met this starling at the edge of the forest. The day was good and sunny. I wandered through the forest for a long time hoping to see woodpeckers. But unfortunately they did not meet. As he approached the edge of the forest, he heard a bird singing.

I could not immediately understand what kind of bird it was. He stopped and waited for her to start singing again. Soon I heard the trills again. They changed every time. That was a starling. It was a thrush. The melodies changed quickly.

Finally I saw him. It was a starling. He was sitting on a thick branch of a tree, in the very thick of the young branches. It was hard to spot him right away. Having warmed himself in the sun, he published his trills and imitated the singing of various birds.

It was very interesting to listen to him. Such a master of imitating the singing of various birds is not often seen. For a long time I stood and listened to this master imitator of birdsong. This is a great natural gift of starlings.

It can only be compared with a parrot. There are many descriptions in the literature when starlings were taught various melodies. It turned out that they easily remember them and can freely imitate.

I was very pleased with the singing of this starling. Especially since I was able to photograph it.

beautiful shots 😉

Вам повезло что они живут у вас. У нас только временно появляются и затем улетают ближе к деревнях. Они классные певцы.
