The rook is storing acorns for future use

in Feathered Friends4 months ago

Autumn has come, the cold weather will soon begin, it will be difficult for birds to find food. Today I saw a hard-working rook preparing acorns for hard times. There is a large oak tree in the park, there are always a lot of acorns on it. Birds often fly here to feast on acorns.

Rooks are especially common here, as they really like acorns. Here in the photo one of them is holding an acorn he liked with his paw. Apparently he decided to hide it in a secluded place.

He grabbed the acorn in his beak and apparently decided to take it to another place so that it wouldn’t be taken away.

Put the acorn on the stump while no one is around and no one will drag it away.

Then he began to look for a place where he could hide this acorn.

Having found a suitable place, he began to bury the acorn in the ground near the edge of the stump.

Having buried the acorn, he went to get a new acorn
