Sly dove

in Feathered Friends2 years ago

As usual, in good weather, I decided to go to a small forest. which was close to the river. Although it was still rather damp in the forest itself, and even in the lowlands there was snow on the edges, it was rather dry.

Although it was quite warm and the birds could easily find food for themselves, so they no longer needed to be fed. However, I took with me seeds for small birds that lived in those places.

I poured the seeds into a small feeder that hung on a lone tree at the edge of the forest. There were no birds nearby and went further along the forest path. I thought that in my absence, small birds would fly faster to the familiar feeder.

Since it was still very damp in the forest, I did not go far and went back. When I approached the feeder where I poured the seeds, I saw an amazing picture. There was a dove in this little feeder. He had a hard time fitting into it. It's amazing how he got there. I have never seen anything like this all winter.

As a rule, only small birds, mainly tits, used this feeder. Pigeons at best walked on the ground next to the feeder. But this pigeon must have been very hungry because he decided to climb into this little feeder to peck at the seeds.

The pigeon stomped around in the feeder with difficulty and could not even turn around there. Even to peck at the seeds, he had to bend his neck a lot. It was clear that he did it with great difficulty.

The pigeon apparently noticed that there were no other birds nearby and therefore decided to peck all the seeds himself.
