Rook in the park

in Feathered Friends6 months ago

Today the heat has subsided a little. I decided to go and see how the birds are. They are probably hot too. The weather is not comfortable. In the clearing I saw a rook wandering around the grass. It was immediately obvious that it was one of the young ones. You can still see some fluff here and there. I noticed that there are already a lot of yellow leaves. Autumn will probably come early.

Although he is young, he looks quite good. His feathers are smooth and shiny. It is immediately obvious that he takes care of himself.

The hot weather is apparently having a negative effect on the birds. It is clear that he is hungry and constantly turns over the leaves and looks for any living creature there that can be eaten.

He carefully examines everything on the ground and tries not to miss anything that could be used as food.

Of course, he doesn’t have the same experience as the old rooks, but his diligence is immediately noticeable as he inspects the clearing and everything that lies on it.

Sometimes he stops and looks at the thing he found for a long time. Apparently he is deciding whether it is good for food.

And then continues searching for food under the leaves and in the grass.
