I saw this woodpecker completely by accident. On the road to the forest, near the river bank, there were small trees and bushes. Usually there are not many birds there and I did not expect to see this woodpecker there.
It was impossible to get closer to it because of the thick bush growing there. I even thought that it would be impossible to take a photo of it because it was blocked by thick branches.
I had to make my way through the branches that were making loud noises. I was afraid of scaring him.
But the woodpecker was apparently very young and was not very scared. Moreover, he was sitting in the thicket of tree branches and probably thought that they would protect him from strangers.
He was busy with his own affairs, looking for midges and bugs on the branches of the tree.
Apparently he was hungry and that's why he didn't pay attention to me.
I tried as much as possible not to disturb him, although I really wanted to get closer to him.
But he was getting deeper and deeper into the thick bushes, so I decided not to bother him anymore and moved on.
