A titmouse is looking for food

in Feathered Friends2 months ago

It has already become very cold outside. It has become more difficult for birds to find food. Today I saw a tit persistently looking for insects in the birch tree corral. She so diligently examined every centimeter of the corral and was apparently very hungry.

Right in front of her, there was a small hollow in the tree trunk. It was obvious that one could find midges or larvae there. The tit examined it carefully and spent a long time looking for something there.

She then began to examine the tree's crust more closely, examining every crack and unevenness in the hope of finding food.

There were many different growths and unevennesses on the square. The titmouse jumped and stuck its beak everywhere and apparently not without benefit. It was constantly pulling something out and pecking its prey right there on the spot.

She paid almost no attention to me. Apparently she realized that I was not laying claim to her prey.

I didn’t bother her and carefully moved aside, and the tit continued to jump along the tree trunk.
