Feathered Friends - Show Me A Photo Contest Round 179

in Feathered Friends4 months ago

Hello Feathered Friends Lovers,

Welcome to #SMaP Show Me A Photo Contest Round 179

For this round I want to show me your photo/s of Extraordinary bird/s. How to define extraordinary is again up to you. It could be a rare bird, you saw for the first time. Or, the behavior that made the bird or birds . Or, it could be anything that make you think is out of ordinary.

My example photos are of a magpie, who has less or no feathers around the neck and that made the bird extraordinary for me. What is the reason, I don't know, but it is something rare.

How are you dear friend @nelinoeva good afternoon
This is a good example of an extraordinary bird, I have never seen a bird with such a neck without feathers.
Let's see what we can get that is extraordinary for this week
Have a lovely Sunday

It was something new for me too.
I count on you as always!🙂

Beautiful pictures 👍

Thanks

Beautiful bird photography results. Good evening my brother.

Thank you.

Poor Magpie, as much as I dislike them for cawing at my cats all day

They are very noisy too. And pike to steal shiny things.

How are you lady @nelinoeva good afternoon
What a great idea for this week's prompt
Have a happy start to the week

I hope to have some interesting entries.🙂

Probably, this magpie is sick with something or ticks have bitten all the feathers on her neck.

Could be. Hard to tell if not some kind of decease.

Congratulations, you received an ecency upvote through the curator @ahmedhayat. Keep spreading love through ecency

Big thank you! Greatly appreciated!

That poor magpie looks like it might have been trapped behind chicken wire and kept poking its head through the holes, hoping to get out.

I've seen that "look" many years ago on my uncle's farm where he'd use live bird traps to capture pigeons and sometimes magpies would get in them by mistake.

=^..^=

It might be. I am not sure, but seems a young bird and without experience, easy to be trapped like that.

Poor little Magpie possibly pecking order in family or deficiency in diet having no feathers around the neck.

Unusual trait to witness in a wild bird feeding for itself.

I can speculate what could be the reason, but hubby saw today other magpies, same as this one with missing feathers.

Must be dietary problem, my thoughts.

Always a pleasure. ❤️

I have seen birds like this, i never have never known why that happens!
it is a mystery!
