Here it goes...
John & Jack were the Turkey brothers who were going around the forest looking out to get something down into their stomachs as it's been a while since they've eaten anything.
After a few hours of walking, Jack has had enough of all this and bravely mentioned to John for them to go to an area which is closer to people, meaning more danger, but it also has more food scatered everywhere.
Arriving to the edge of the playground, they've noticed an animal never seen before having a right go at something laying on the ground.
Jack being the brave one went closer whilst John hold back worried it's a trap. After a couple of minutes Jack returned smiling and saying it's fine, the animal is called a squirrel, she's real and she's eating seeds.
John became happy, about to rush to the scene to eat, but was all of a sudden stopped by Jack.
Why'd you stop me? asked John.
Apparently they're recording a show and the squirrel is the star. See all the people with their cameras and falshy lights?! said Jack. It's meant to be for squirrels only! I don't see any other birds or animals there, do you John? continued Jack.
After pausing for a minute, Jack looked at John and whispered an idea into his ear so crazy they both believed it will work.
Can you guess what the idea was?
Jack told to John to pretend to be a squirrel but without flapping his wings and making odd sounds, and it might just work. Of course they didn't fool anyone and people were harmless, just being amazed of how nature works as seeing turkeys and squirrels eat together in peace was more then they could have hoped for to capture on their cameras.
Let me just say that they ate well that day sharing seeds with the squirrel. Poor Turkey's thought they would become dinner and to this day, the legend says that both John & Jack the Turkey brothers roam the woods pretending to be squirrels.

In a gruff voice, sounding like he had tobacco stuck in his throat, Tony 2toes growled at the Squirrel.
"I'm not going to ask you again Sneaky Sam"!
"But I don't, I never. I never ever would steal from you Turkeys...I mean gentlemens..."
"Oh come on Sneaky Sam, you know we saw you with it and if you don't hand it over right now, that little hole that you're digging there, will be the last hole you ever crawl into you got it?" Said Terry Toenails.in an even more menacing voice.
"Now you just hand it over, real slow cause we're watching you like hawk,* he threatened with his beady eyes burning into Sneak Sam's back. You got it Squirrel?"
But Fellas, I don't know what you're talking about! I don't! I really, really don't Tony. Terry. Please have mercy on me. Think of my wife Sarah.*
*"Oh yeah, don't you worry your fluffy little tail about **her *fluffy little tail Sneaky Sam Squirrel, we've already been thinking about her" said Tony 2Toes with a wicked grin on his sharp, beaky looking face."
Sneaky Sam looked up at them his face white as a ghost before he hurriedly looked own to the ground again, trying to decide what to do.
"Honestly, now please just let me go.., PUHLEASE....I haven't done anything."
"Yeah Sneaky Sam, that exactly the problem. You haven't done anything. You haven't given us what we want, so keep digging Squirrel. Keep digging your own grave Sneaky Sam."*
"No more chances for you" said Terry Toenails as he gobbled down the his second last nut, waiting for Sneaky Sam to fess up and give him back his last Nut.😳

And on the very odd occasion that I drink, it is ofcourse Wild Turkey- American honey too!
As I'm munching on my nuts with those Wild Turkeys (cause they do actually eat a small assortment of nuts out in the wild...)

Gregory the squirrel was happy, relaxing in a tree trunk, overlooking all the cool spots he chose to bury all those sweet nuts. He was almost falling asleep, when he heard the rustling of leaves; and as he looked in the direction of the sound... his heart sunk.
BIRDS!! HUGE BIRDS!!! AND THEY'RE GOING FOR MY NUTS!!
Gregory rushed down from the trees.
Maybe if they see me running so fast in their direction they'll run off. He thought. And so he did. He ran as fast as he could, sprinting back and forth and in circles, causing the leaves to fly in every direction.
But no luck. The two huge birds kept searching relentlessly for the nuts.
As Gregory stopped to recover his breath, near the birds, the couple smiled briefly to each other, as this scene wasn't new to them.
Honey, shouldn't we tell him that turkeys are not nut eaters?
The answer came swiftly:
Nahhh... I like to see them run! 😂 😂
Hahaha! What a great story to go with this photo! I agree with the turkey couple, it IS rather fun to watch them run!

There was starving in the forest, after the grasses was set ablaze and deforestation carried out. little squirrel had no choice than to come search for what to eat among domestic animals. The hunger it felt made it care less about the huge couple turkey feeding on the field as it gulf the nuts around there in a hurry.
The male turkey looked at the little squirrel wondering what had brought the little squirrel from afar. While the female turkey showed no concern.
Let's both have to our fill since there's enough for us the turkey said. As the both fed not minding the other.
A wonderful short story. Sad about the deforestation, but great that they were all happily sharing. (in reality those are wild turkeys. They live in flocks and roam freely.)

Oh I am certain that soon they will share a great feast and the rains will come and volunteers to restart replanting the forest.

Gertrude and Elmer were pecking peacefully at the seeds the kind lady left out for them when out of the corner of her eye Gertrude spied a strange critter eating the seeds.
‘Elmer, what is that creature with the magnificent fluffy tail? Oh How I wish I had a tail like that.”
“I’ve never seen anything like it, Gertrude. Stop wishing for things you haven’t got. I am going over to see what the strange creature is doing eating our seeds.
“My dear Elmer, have you forgot the teachings of our wild turkey guru? The earth is to be shared with all creatures. We must be generous and share the seeds with whoever needs them.”
“You are right as always Gertrude.”
And Gertrude and Elmer befriended the squirrel and they often travelled through the woods together sharing stories and food.

Another Short Story
One sunny day Squeak, the squirrel, saw two wild turkeys pecking and feeding near his tree. Feeling a bit uneasy, he Googled turkey to find out what they normally eat. Well it said insects, fruits, seeds, and . . . wait . . . did he read that right? Acorns and nuts! My oh my! And like a bolt of lightning down goes Squeak, hurriedly gathering all the acorns and nuts that had fallen off from his tree. Scooting here and there, round and round his tree! And he panics as the two giant monster turkeys got up just right behind him, looking for something to forage on. Squeak has only one thought in his mind. He has to hurry before they find them. Oohh, why was he so careless in stocking up his favorite acorn and nuts. And so the race was on. Who won? I really don't know because as of last check they were still at it.
The end.
Hmm I wonder if they are still running now???
I guess we will never know...

ENGAGEtokens.There life two turkeys in the human kingdom,this turkeys were forgotten,and not given food to feed on,so they decided to run from the human kingdom because they will starve to death.so after they successfully escaped,on there way in search of food they saw a squirrel feeding on some nuts,so they joined the squirrel and they ate together not minding their of different species.
It's good to share a meal with friends!

Tamara and Timothy had been so sad for so long it was strange to finally have a smile on their faces again.
"We have got to be the luckiest turkeys in the world, who would have ever believed this could ever happen to us." Tamara could hardly even say the words she was smiling so broadly.
"Oh it's been a long road, for sure it has". Timothy let out a deep sigh as he said the words. "I felt so deflated for so long, the depression was eating me up from the inside. I felt so appalling that I couldn't give you the one thing you wanted most in the whole world".
"Oh sweetheart, I never blamed you, not even for an instant. You are my soulmate". Tears came unbidden and welled up in the corner of her eyes for a second, then as quickly as they had came, they were gone. "There could never, would never be anyone else for me. Yes we were missing that last piece of the puzzle to make our life perfect but I would've traded that to stay with you forever, honestly I would!"
"Look at us getting all upset about things that might have been." Timothy laughed. "We should be dancing for joy, this is the greatest day of our lives".
Tamara nestled her head in Timothy's wing contentedly, she was so happy she felt like she could burst at any moment.
They both smiled as they gazed lovingly at their new foster Son Sammy, they knew life would get better and better for them and would certainly never be the same again, in the best way possible.

I did contemplate writing the final line as Christmas music played in the distance ((turkeys)) but decided to finish nicely instead lol.
I thought they may be vultures actually, but I thought that would be more sinister haha.

Haa thanks Melinda, as soon as I saw them staring hard at the Squirrel with their beady eyes, the story just popped into my head and I was thinking about it later (When trying to sleep at 3am) how I am a writer, but have not had the chance to write anything in any of the fiction communities and the first time I do write something on the Hive, it's in the feathered friends community instead! lol.... how funny! 😂

Looks like the turkies aren't too concerned about the squirrel. You'd think the squirrel would be a little nervous with two huge dinosaurs heading his way, though!
