Crows are so ubiquitous throughout urban areas that I sometimes forget that they also live in the wilderness. This pair was hanging out near a heron colony. Crows are supposed to avoid dense forests, and this spot was relatively open right beside the coast, where tidal pools make ideal grounds for feeding.

What were these two doing up there? They might've just been enjoying the fall colours.
