So long as you don't have a thatch roof 😄 they apparently love getting indoors and nesting, up in the berg we were specifically asked not to feed them years ago.

Always a good feeling when the bird trusts a human, when free normally do return to say hello again.
Yes indeed, but we don't encourage her Lady Joan and it is good to see that she has become more skittish. Squirry paid the price of trusting humans as she is gone and we don't even want to think about what happened to her. Thankfully 3 of the kids are still around and although Marian feeds them, we don't make any physical contact with them.

Having raised many young birds who have fallen from nests, never caged and let free to fly when ready, it is always a happy/sad moment letting go.
Squirrels we don't have, I would imagine they could become too familiar with adopted families, then not realizing not all is equal become a target for those who do not appreciate nature in the wild.
