The Odd Couple

"Hey Fred, how are you? Where are the kids?"

"They're still in swimming school with Mr. Flipper. Very good teacher. Tough, but fair."

"Yes, I heard something similar. But kids today, they have it so good. Do you remember, how we learned to swim?
We had to outsmart Orcas all day and on top of that, it was much colder than today. How lucky is this generation, to live
in such a healthy, warm climate."

Yes, you could say that, but do you also remember how many of us didn't come back from the first day of swimming school?
Lea and Kurt ended up as snacks."

"You're probably right about that.
When is Betty coming back from the shop?"

"I don't know. She just wanted get a few extra fish for the weekend. The big game is on and we have Elsa and Martin over
for dinner."

"Oh, that is nice. What about Donna and me? Why did you guys not invite us?"

"Well, that's the thing. Donna always complains about Betty's cooking and last time it was especially hurtful,
because Betty had to outswim a couple of Orcas to get to the salmon spawning ground.
And after all this hassle, Donna complaint, that the salmon was only half ruminated. I'm being honest right now.
Betty cried all night and I had to be up very early in the morning to shovel snow."
